Food Stamps Gone Wild {THE SO-CALLED FARM BILL}Food stamps are now sent to an astonishing 1 out of every 7 Americans. Food stampspending has more than doubled since 2008. New reports of fraud and abuse are coming out daily.
Yet the Senate recently passed a disastrous $970 billion so-called farm bill that was really a welfare bill – 78 percent of the spending went for food stamps. And the House may do the same any day.
The House version spends a total $957 billion - that's almost a trillion dollars we don't have. And fully $756 billion of that (79 percent!) is for food stamps.
This disastrous bill was supported by all but four Republicans on the House Agriculture Committee. It includes no drought relief, although lobbyists are cynically exploiting the drought to advance it.
Quite simply, we cannot afford another massive spending bill.
It is a disaster to have 1 in 7 American on food stamps; we need to fix the economy so people have jobs and don't need food stamps, not lock this in for another five years.
Republicans were elected to the House to stop wasteful spending - this is their chance to actually do it.
The vote could come any day. Please take action now.

You no longer have to GO TO GET THEM????Pick them up, sign for them....show ID to make sure that it you are entitled???? Do they mean sent, as in USPS....in the mailbox every month?????? Just askin'........thanks.

the really sad fact is that these people and the ones that support the busting out welfare system are not seeing the looming disaster coming up very soon.
This president and his Socialist/Communist Party only want our countys citizens to be slaves to the state!

Unfortunately, there have always been lazy people who don't mind living off of the govt., and those who live by scamming the govt., but what's really sickening is to see this POTUS spend more time and effort on giving away free food stamps than to do anything to help companies get back on stable ground, and start hiring people again! Have people heard yet that Obama's gone to 109 (at last count) fund-raisers this year, but he hasn't held ONE meeting with Jeff Immelt, his Jobs Czar?! Seems the only job he is interested in saving is his own--everybody else, have some food stamps and shut up!
