Things are getting worse and don't expect the Democrats or Republicans
to change things for the better. Both Political Parties are too full of Greed
and Corruption. If all Americans would get out and vote and stop voting
for a Republican or Democrat we could have a Political Party that really
    cares about us in charge.

I'm pretty undecided on this one. There's a lot of people who misuse food stamps, but at the same time there are a few honest people who really need them temporarily to get by.

I have a neighbor who takes in homeless welfare recipients and takes their food stamp and wic checks, gets them cashed in somewhere and then buys oxy with it. The house has become a dilapidated drug house. Can't wait for Christie (governor) to flush out the fraud!

It's the people like that who don't deserve the welfare and food stamps. I'm sure there are probably ways of preparing and avoiding situations like that, but I'm really too young to know for sure. I do know that when I was really young, my mother married a dead beat and worked two jobs but still needed food stamps to feed her family. She no longer receives them because she doesn't need them. I'm saying it's honest people like that who deserve the aid.

Exactly. That's what it was created for but people learned to work around the system. Some people will have 6 children and stay unmarried so that the woman can collect.
I have worked all of my life and contributed to all of the government subsidies including unemployment and have never used any of them (thank God). And I was a single mother for a bit. I worked for a large corporation that provided good jobs, benefits and such. You know, the guys that many Americans love to hate? Those buggers who give us jobs! LOL

The program NEEDS to be there for people who honestly need help. I hope it returns to the day when we help the helpless and screw the clueless! ;-)

I agree. If people were more honest about things like that and not so lazy about earning a living then we'd be a lot better off.

Yea, unfortunately there are some people who'd cut their own foot off before they'd get a job.
I was in a room once with a group of homeless and soon to be homeless people about 8 months ago. A counselor announced that she found a job opening that many of them would fit well in. They asked how much they'd make and every single one of them blatantly said "no thanks, my "monthly" is more than that.
I don't know how to fix that...
my 22 year old lives on her own, was taught a strong work ethic and holds 2 jobs to keep her place and pay for her car.
    *I shrug*

That gives me a decent boost of confidence. I'm trying to take initiative and secure a job back home before I get there. I'm an idealist, so I really don't want to work somewhere I think sounds unenjoyable, but that just makes me want to look harder for what I want.

Well, if you can find something you love you are lucky.
I worked for a subcontractor that makes the AEGIS radar system for the Navy so I saw longevity and put up with some of the jobs I've had there over the decades because it was great money, great benefits and a stead job. (not to mention lifetime friends I made)
My daughter followed my footsteps sortof, she works at military bases as a civilian...marrying a marine who fought on the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Look for longevity in an arena that you support.
    I love working for/with the military...heck I was married on the 4th of July even! :-) (we're a little patriotic...just a little LOL)
GREAT luck to you Sweetie!! You CAN do it!!

Thank you very much! :) I'm not aiming too high, at the moment I'm pretty focused on a job at Petco. I'm a friendly, enthusiastic, and energetic individual so I suppose my biggest hindrance will be my love for having a unique physical appearance lol I'm not too concerned about it though.

Oh man I'm gonna get emotional XD I hope they're proud as well. I'm technically the least successful of all of their offspring, but I'm the youngest so for the time being it's alright. I've got the courage to grow and that's all that matters.

Heck no, remember he wanted the job so bad that he LIED to get it, said he was a US Citizen of which he is not! His mama abandon his poor little butt and he went to go live with his G-parents in Hawaii and they fix the kid up with communist and socialist training, got him a BC and there you go!
He has or had a head-start in starting to fix the economy and he blew it, he said HIMSELF he gives himself an INCOMPLETE (HIS PARTY that is), well, he would not be able to fix anything that he does not know anything about! And all of those that cannot shrink the debt nor operate within a budget should be fired!

Regarding the economy; you are 95% correct; to be 100% correct, we have to get all the ones that are dealing with those P-Barrels and non-budgeted spending and give-away programs! Somethings are like toss money into the wind, like anything the government controls and regulates! (There is a case for self regulation, if and only if there is a check and balance within the system and quarterly visible audits, on all departments!)

The truthful ones, there are many that do not read and view anything as they have and hold onto their lying creep of a foreign student, giving foreign students a bad name and I was once one! So and also a minority too and so not a racist as I love all you white people and orientals too and Indians with feathers and those going bald and well, all of you! Even you liberal and P and neo this and that, heck come on over for dinner, if we then do not like you we will eat you at the next get-together! Hey, how did that sound/read, pretty good eh? You should check out the Army Times... he is saying that if Romeny is elected that there will not be much of a military left. You know when Bush was in office soliders got rasies not just their yearly raise, and there was not that many military families on food stamp.
