Florida Governor Jeb Bush Wants Trayvon Murderer George Zimmerman Arrested. Agree ?

Republican Florida Governer Jeb Bush is one of millions who wants to see justice served to Trayvon Martin's murderer George Zimmerman, but his terms are a little different.

STORY: The EMS Records of George Zimmerman Released!

Former President George Bush's brother is a strong enforcer of Florida's “Stand Your Ground” law, which allows citizens broad power to use deadly force, but says this law does not apply to George Zimmerman's actions. The law removes the traditional common law duty that state one should retreat when threatened in public and allows someone who is threatened to respond with lethal force if it is believed that they are going to escape bodily harm.

But yesterday, Jeb stated that he does not know what an arrest has not been made in the case of George Zimmerman because the broad spanning law did not umbrella his case.

PHOTOS: Funeral Director Says: "Trayvon Didn't Fight With Anybody"

Jeb said:

“This law does not apply to this particular circumstance… Stand your ground means stand your ground. It doesn’t mean chase after somebody who’s turned their back.”

Jeb also stated that the lack of arrest just does not make sense to him.

All the defenses that Zimmerman's legal team is attempting to hide him with are slowly falling apart.

Looks like Jeb Bush may be putting his hoodie up too demanding justice for Trayvon Martin's killing.

Totally agree. He overstepped his rights as a gun-owner and as the supposed 'victim' in this case when he became the aggressor and followed Trayvon in an area he was legally allowed to be in. Furthermore, the 911 dispatcher told him police were on their way and he did not need to follow the kid. Also, he did not 'stand his ground' but pursued, which makes you an aggressor and eliminates your claim to self-defense.

All I want is that these people that need to carry guns around in their daily life should wear them on the outside of their clothes. That way I know what nut jobs to to stay away from.

I'm like you - I could care less how many guns or rocket launchers (lol) a person has in their house, but out on the street is a different story.

Amen, i cant even have one at either of my jobs and one is at night, but people are allowed to walk around with them? Where is my second amendment right. I wonder if republicans will defend my right to have one at work, the way they defended the church's stance on BC ?

It's so wrong that a young UNARMED boy is gunned down and the murderer goes free. Where is the justice that this can even happen? And all these a$$holes taking up for Zimmerman should be right in jail with him.

Well the way things are going what used to be a freedom - the ability to vote is being removed . Your chances of being killed by a tornado are greater than the any voter fraud out there, but the republicons want to make the ability to vote more difficult for people.

So I'd say it's easier or about the same to vote or buy a gun.

There should be investigating done. Honestly it seems like the police might have botched this one pretty bad, hopefully justice is served. (I'm not saying Zimmerman is guilty, just think he deserves a trial and extensive investigation)

Yes, I agree! However, I believe it would be "re-arrested". He was arrested, handcuffed and taken to the police station. My question would be, why was he released after being arrested? I would like to know what happened in that police station? It's evident that whoever arrested him in the beginning thought there was a reason to do it. The whole thing needs to be investigated, something stinks.

An arrest requires probable cause. Proving a case doesn't happen with a police investigation, it happens in court. It never gets to court if there isn't an arrest -- based on probable cause, not proof beyond doubt.

I agree that Zimmerman needs to be arrested, but I do not agree with Jeb Bush's defending such a dangerous, irresponsible, law like the "Stand Your Ground" law in Florida. It is because of this stupid law that these high-cost, taxpayer investigations have to take place any time something like this happens. So where are the conservatives on this greatly unnecessary expense? The Castle doctrine and the "Stand Your Ground" laws are not reducing crime, they are increasing it, and replacing some crimes with a worse crime!

At the very least he should be arrested on murder charges and stand trial. If there's any evidence whatsoever that would exonerate him, let it come out in trial.

Well, I think it has been proven pretty decisively that Zimmerman broke at least a few laws that night, even if his claims of self defense hold up, which seem shaky at the moment as well. He wasn't supposed to be carrying a gun as part of his "block watch" duties. He also followed Treyvon down the street, which he wasn't supposed to be doing.

Because generally anyone who kills someone else needs to be held and investigated.
Not held and released with weapon,
Not told to go about their business unharrassed or investigated for three weeks,.. the length of time it took the community to realize that a child was killed.

    My day for sighs.

Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, make the case if you think he's guilty. Now in your case Che, we know that you would just lynch the guy, but we don't all accept your "progressive" justice, so pound sand.

How typical, respond but block, like other law this is "progressive" freedom of speech, where only "progressives" get to speak.

What in the HELL are you talking about Gumby ? The only reason Conservatives even care about Murderer George Zimmerman is that he killed a black guy in a hoodie. Hell, you conservative douche bags will probably try to elect the dirt bag to Congress.
