Florida Governor Jeb Bush Wants Trayvon Murderer George Zimmerman Arrested. Agree ?

Republican Florida Governer Jeb Bush is one of millions who wants to see justice served to Trayvon Martin's murderer George Zimmerman, but his terms are a little different.

STORY: The EMS Records of George Zimmerman Released!

Former President George Bush's brother is a strong enforcer of Florida's “Stand Your Ground” law, which allows citizens broad power to use deadly force, but says this law does not apply to George Zimmerman's actions. The law removes the traditional common law duty that state one should retreat when threatened in public and allows someone who is threatened to respond with lethal force if it is believed that they are going to escape bodily harm.

But yesterday, Jeb stated that he does not know what an arrest has not been made in the case of George Zimmerman because the broad spanning law did not umbrella his case.

PHOTOS: Funeral Director Says: "Trayvon Didn't Fight With Anybody"

Jeb said:

“This law does not apply to this particular circumstance… Stand your ground means stand your ground. It doesn’t mean chase after somebody who’s turned their back.”

Jeb also stated that the lack of arrest just does not make sense to him.

All the defenses that Zimmerman's legal team is attempting to hide him with are slowly falling apart.

Looks like Jeb Bush may be putting his hoodie up too demanding justice for Trayvon Martin's killing.

Totally agree. He overstepped his rights as a gun-owner and as the supposed 'victim' in this case when he became the aggressor and followed Trayvon in an area he was legally allowed to be in. Furthermore, the 911 dispatcher told him police were on their way and he did not need to follow the kid. Also, he did not 'stand his ground' but pursued, which makes you an aggressor and eliminates your claim to self-defense.

Everyone except the so called "progressives" and race baiters like Sharpton and Jackson. If Zimmerman was black they wouldn't be saying a word.

BS. Zimmerman isn't black. The right does most of the race baiting, now defending Zimmerman.

Infrigging credible that these race baiters like the Tailor talk about all kinds of crap except this specific case, and you are right, take him to trial.
Good thing Im blocked by these RWNJs, they are so tiring.

    So called "progressives"? WTF????

Yeah Gumby, the First Tape of the 911 Dispatcher telling George Zimmerman NOT to Follow Trevon and he does anyway. And the second tape when you can hear Trevon begging for his life before George Zimmerman murders him in cold blood. Are you going to bitch the next time a young black kid guns down someone like George Zimmerman ? Because the lesson we have given young black kids is that there is no justice for them. Why should they play rules if that is what in store for them ?

He should be tried by a jury of his peers. I do not believe anything else is acceptable.

Well, we're all innocent until proven guilty, so until then we should presume him innocent until proven otherwise. If the evidence warrants it, however, I agree with you. We don't want to go around punishing people without evidence though.

It is quite ironic that you Zimmerman protectors keep bringing that up, when Trayvon Martin was considered guilty until killed, then proven innocent.

Yes, Zimmerman should be arrested and charged. But my opinion has nothing to do with what Jeb Bush thinks. In fact, if Jeb is for something chances are VERY high I'll be against it - like the 'stand your ground law' to begin with. I base my opinion on the fact 911 Dispatchers told Zimmerman not to get out of his vehicle and that the lead investigator in the case wanted to file charges but was told no.

We need this case to be handled through proper channels - Zimmerman should not be tried in the media. But he should be tried and judged by a jury of his peers. But thanks to the media for allowing the nation to see what was being covered up in Florida.

Personally, I also think Jeb is trying to cover his butt. This law is ridiculous. I don't know if anyone else here the audio of the hillbilly in TX who shot and killed two people who were robbing the house next door AFTER he was told NOT to go outside. He actually brought up the law and said it was passed in Sept. As if he was just waiting to get the go ahead to murder someone and get away with it. He's life was NOT in danger and he was NEVER charged with the suspects murder... I completely understand defending oneself and using deadly force if its warranted but so far the Martin case does not apply and with Zimmermann's history of violence you have to wonder. Well at least someone with common sense has to wonder.....

I heard that 911 call too. These laws can never work, because there will always be these cases where people get away with murder by being a vigilante. They just have that God complex, and the need to experience the thrill of the kill and deciding when another human being should die.

Although I agree with the former governor I realize he's trying to cover his butt, because whether the Stand Your Ground Law applies or not, the law in itself is nothing but a SHOOT FIRST AND ASK QUESTIONS LATER LAW.

Not only getting justice through the judicial system as it relates to Tayvon Martin is going to be positive, but the light that is starting to shine on the SHOOT FIRST AND ASK QUESTIONS LATER LAW will eventually help the American people to see how jacked up it really is, which is a testament of the far reaching, put NRA wants ahead of what's good for the people, leadership that passed it.

I blame all participants that voted for this law and that includes the left if they went along with it. The country needs to really wake up to what's going on right in front of their faces. The right wing in this country has taken control over the legislators mind, it's as if a spell was put on them and they've become THE STEPFORD WIVES in reverse! rest in peace in glitter

Every Time I think about this case my mind goes to one thing... regardless if the 911 operator told Zimmerman to stop following Treyvon, WHY IN GODS NAME WAS HE CHASING HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE? .... He had already called the police, why not just let them handle it... And now we find out, they actually cancelled his EMS, wow... We need to get this out of the media and into a court room NOW...!

But under the Stand Your Ground law, Zimmerman couldn't even be arrested unless there was specific reason to believe that the killing was not self-defense. Bush ought to know what the law says - he's the one who signed it!
