Feds Shutdown Fourth of July Celebration?

While many Americans will be cooking out, enjoying family, remembering members of the military overseas and shooting fireworks Wednesday in celebration of America’s Independence from Great Britain, the federal government has shut down the annual pre-Independence Day fireworks show in the coastal town of Depoe Bay, Oregon.

I've seen cities shut down the fireworks due to things in the past, so I just go to another town in the area and watch theirs.

However, the event takes place less than a mile away from Pirates Cove at Boiler Bay. It has been going on since 1993 and yet these birds have remained in the cove. That is nearly two decades! What is the problem?

Well it seems some poor soul saw some birds take to the air during one of the fireworks shows (apparently they don’t see them fly at any other time) and notified the federal wildlife service.
