Question US

FCC can search your home without a warrant. Upset or care less?

Canto May 21, 2009 19:17:34

The FCC maintains the right at any time to search your house without a warrant if you have any device capable of transmitting a radio signal. This includes cell phones, wireless routers, baby monitors, and even remote car door openers. The FCC claims their strong efforts are meant to crack down on pirate radio stations. If you refuse to allow FCC personnel into your home you face a hefty fine. Are you upset that the FCC can, at any time, search your home?

I'm upset that the FCC can search my home without a warrant

I would honestly feel this is unjustify..That they would enslave my freedom in this way..only cause I own certain things with in my communication...to contact other people in my live to let them know how my day was..as such these many things we use on a daily basic...life funcation of our era!!!
In why do they do these things as invasion of our home's...if they too can pull our cell phone records..or even might be able to hack into our computer system's...and be able to check our credit card's to seeour purchase's...
So you tell me why are they even doing home visit's?

I'm a licensed ham(amateur) radio operator and yes they can come in if you have a transmitter of any kind. They have super sophisticated monitoring equipment that pinpoint your devices location from thousands of miles away + they can "fingerprint" your devices signal & "fingerprint" your voice..We hams are forever having illegal operators come up on our frequencies and we have to contact the FCC to bust them.

The present administration is going against the Constitution since Day one. If one would listen to Judge Napolitano on Brian and the Judge, he is a staunt Constitutionlist and can tell you how this administration and Congress is blantly going against OUR CONSTITUTION. I am not surprise at anything they do .

What if you don't have any of those things? How can you prove that without them searching your house?

I work in radio and have had to deal with this group for 20 years or should I say lack of dealing with them.

The FCC is another group of HIGHLY paid government workers that don't do a GOD-DAMN thing except fine radio stations for saying dirty words.

When was the last time you heard about the FCC doing anything productive? They should be dismantled and save the tax payers money!

Don't EVER expect the FCC to come to your home. That would mean they would have to do something.

I'll open my door to them any time. It really can't do any harm. The argument about principals and personal freedom just doesn't cut it if you have absolutely nothing to hide.

No one should have the right to enter someones home without a warrant - period. It would upset me deeply even tho I have nothing to hide. It is the principal of the thing.
