Obama once said, "I don't think people should be able to own guns." And that means *anybody*, except an LEO or an active-duty military service member. Fast and Furious was bout making an excuse for gun control in the USA, *and* the UN Arms Trade Treaty. The problem: Fast and Furious succeeded too well. People died.

Thoughts on the Issa Report: Passing the buck, that's all. It names five "small fry" in Operation Fast and Furious. But it ignores its own evidence, while calling this a failed operation. Failed? You call this failure? From page 25 (of 211):
On November 24, 2009, [Special Agent-in-Charge William]
Newell [of the Phoenix ATF office] informed Dennis Burke, the U.S.
Attorney for the District of Arizona, of the large weapons recovery in
Mexico a few days earlier.Burke responded,“Wow, frickin-A. They were
already across the Border heading south?”
Wow, frickin-A? And this is failure? If Burke had not wanted to hear this, he would have said, “Oh, sh[oo]t!” He wasn't outraged. He was pleased. Pleased as Punch.

As the poll states, five "small fry" are clearly named in the report. This is nowhere near a conclusion, but there are now 5 people with a powerful incentive to start talking. Make some deals, offer immunity from prosecution, and see who wants to help reel in a big fish.
One good thing about "small fry" is that they tend to be career bureaucrats, not appointed by or aligned with either party. For better or worse, they do what they are told to do.
It is important to press the issue before election day. Otherwise, Obama will pardon everyone on his way out the door in January.
