A New Mexico family is suing two funeral homes after discovering that among the personal effects of their deceased relative, the funeral homes also sent the deceased's brain.

The dead woman died in a car crash in Utah, and somewhere between transporting her body from Utah to New Mexico for her burial, her brain was put in a plastic bag. That plastic bag later found itself among the items that the deceased was found with, such as clothing and jewelry.

When the New Mexico family discovered a putrid odor among the personal effects, they explored the items and discovered the bagged brain.

The family has since buried the brain with the body.

Have you ever received something weird in the mail?

And they are laid to rest the funer home should step up and take care of any expenses incurred and appoligize to all the family members as they pay for a nice vacation or some thing that the family desires along with taking steps to prevent such a thing from happening again to the families satisfaction,

To sue for what is obviously human error is yet another example of someone looking for a free ride. What is the big deal? Nobody was injured were they? So it stunk a little, get over it. Maybe compensation for whatever container was needed but a lawsuit? This family should be sued for wasting the court's time.

When my brother moved to Florida it was a cpl days after my 14th B-day. He was out of town on my B-day so when he got home he packed and moved to Fl the following day. Once he got there it occurred to him he hadn't got me anything for my B-day. So he got a coconut and wrote my address on it, and mailed it just like that. So I got a coconut in the mail with stamps on it. The mailman knocked on the door when he delivered it because it wouldn't fit in the mailbox. And I think he just wanted to tell me that was a first and how funny he thought it was. lol

Something is weird in New Mexico. First of all in an accident body parts wouldn't be put in separate plastic bags. In an autopsies they are put in jars and saved at the pathology lab forever. In the case of a morgue shipping the body they also would have kept the body together but never in separate bags that later went with the belongings. This whole story sounds stinky.

No, somethings wrong in Utah since the accident occurred there and the family in New Mexico were waiting on the body... but yes this is too odd to not be overlooked

I had something mailed to my ex-husband once. I hate him so much. It was from the now defunct website, sendaturd.com ... No, I didn't send him my on poopy. they sent him someone else's random poopy, lol. Sick? I know, but he REALLY deserved it and I'm not sorry.

No, but the site got shut down. I guess they had too many complaints. I'm guessing people were just sending them to anybody. I have to really hate someone to do that to them. I'm sure he figured it was me, but he knew he deserved it, after he hurt our son. He's lucky I didn't do worse... because I wanted to.
