(CNN) — The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Facebook may lift its ban on kids under 13.

The social media website, according to the Wall Street Journal, is developing special new features for kids’ pages.

The technology would allow parents to control who their kids “friend” and what applications they can use.

Many kids already lie about their ages in order to get access.

No, please, don't let them on. It's full of people who can't spell as it is.

This won't stop kids from lying about their age to get a normal Facebook. A lot probably won't want their parents to see everything they do, so they'll just lie.

The ban is stupid anyway. Kids under 13 just lie about their birth date. They have no method of verifying the veracity of someone's date of birth.
