"Facebook admits millions of accounts are fake"

Really, I mean Really ! No Sh-t Sherlock.

The idea was stolen from zuckerberg's friends and he also stole hundreds of thousands of peoples information from people that were in college across america to pad the fledgling site in the beginning, to make it look like a nobody site was taking off, and thus began everyone’s asinine fascination with a pathetic site.

This practice of padding and deceiving people to make something or someone seem like it/or they are suddenly popular has been done by the music business from many decades.

How they usually would do it was to make millions of records or recordings, distribute them out to the stores all across the nation or just regional wise, and they would buy back hundreds of thousands of the records/tapes/etc., making it seem that the music/song and the person had suddenly became popular overnight.

And thus all the suckers, of course, has just got to have the latest craze, right !?

Well the same with zuckerberg, his stolen site and all his stolen peoples information.

And all the suckers of zuckerburg just fell right into it, as usual.

To top it off, not only did zuckerberg screw everyone and make fools out of all of you; he thinks of and has called all the users of his stolen site...

How would I know if I am friends with any fake profiles? Maybe a couple, I don't suppose anyone is exempt.

I am only minimally into facebook, but the way FB mines and records your data, the data of all your friends and I forget everything else they want when you decide one of their games, can you actually blame anyone for creating fake accounts.

Possibly, but I like to keep track of my friends on facebook, just so I know for sure.

However, I do know my friend has a whole bunch of fake photos on facebook. They're of random people from google images, she uses them for her facebook since she isn't comfortable with her appearance. Kind of defeating the purpose. It's kind of a fake profile you could assume :/

No. I only accept Friends from people I know. I've had a couple of friends whose profile were stolen but it was pretty easy to spot.

In my opinion it is beyond time to shut down the social media. I would even consider this but I think it is different that facebook and twitter and such. I had a tech problem with a Verizon that I mentioned to someone on here when discussing poor communications skills of tech support. We yesterday we got a call supposedly from Verizon saying my comments on twitter (which I am not a member of nor do I have an account with them or anything else) were seen by Verizon's social media scanning team. They were rude and ignorant a starter and implied I was lying. I will be dealing with their HQ shortly. He then said that I was listed as some name I never heard of.

That is problem enough but if it is Verizon that called why are they tracking people's social media and then attempting to match it with a home phone number

It wouldn't surprise me. I'm not friends with any fakes because I only am friends with people I actually know. I do not friend any strangers on FB.
