Exxon mobile/ Imperial oil is moving several loads weighing up to 413 000 pounds across public roads in the western states. Just to compare, the average truck only takes around 80 000 pounds of cargo legally across public roads. Exxon has made the proper legal actions to take this loads across the road systems but the amount of weight that they are moving could hurt the roads. This could cost tax payers money. Since this is for a oil operation the mega loads have caused protests across the road ways. In moscow Idaho (where i go to school) several people have been arrested protesting.

as long as they file the required permits for loads over a certain size and they fit the engineers requirements for safety, who the hell should complain. the equipment was probably made here and it benefited America in that way, and the Oil is going to be USED here as well, benefiting us again. I'd rather support Canadas economy ANY DAY over ANY middle eastern Economy.

The only reason they are moving all that equipment to Canada is because OBAMA "THE ANTI-AMERICAN" IS FORCING THEM TO GO TO CANADA.

Too bad it's going to Canada instead of here in the US where we could get some jobs going by drilling and producing some oil here.

Just how do you suggest they move that equipment? Maybe load it at Houston Shipping Terminal onto huge Carriers, and send them through the Panama Canal up through the North Pacific and off load at Calgary or maybe inthe south of Alaska...then ship it overland using the Ice Road Truckers.

I have no problem with them movie the equipment that way. i was one of the supporters standing along side the road with they came through. I was just wondering how other people felt about it. In Moscow Idaho it was a huge deal and there was a lot of negative reactions.
