Experts Analyze 911 Tape- Trayvon was screaming for help!

Zimmerman claimed he was attacked by 17 year old Trayvon and was justified in shooting the kid. He also claimed he was calling for help and on the 911 tapes a person could be heard screaming for help.

Now voice experts have analyzed the tapes and have concluded it was not Zimmerman that was crying for help and it was most likely Trayvon before he was shot and died.

"As the Trayvon Martin controversy splinters into a debate about self-defense, a central question remains: Who was heard crying for help on a 911 call in the moments before the teen was shot?

A leading expert in the field of forensic voice identification sought to answer that question by analyzing the recordings for the Orlando Sentinel.

His result: It was not George Zimmerman who called for help.

Tom Owen, forensic consultant for Owen Forensic Services LLC and chair emeritus for the American Board of Recorded Evidence, used voice identification software to rule out Zimmerman. Another expert contacted by the Sentinel, utilizing different techniques, came to the same conclusion.

Zimmerman claims self-defense in the shooting and told police he was the one screaming for help. But these experts say the evidence tells a different story.

'Scientific certainty'

On a rainy night in late February, a woman called 911 to report someone crying out for help in her gated Sanford community, Retreat at Twin Lakes.

Though several of her neighbors eventually called authorities, she phoned early enough for dispatchers to hear the panicked cries and the gunshot that took Trayvon Martin's life.

George Zimmerman, a Neighborhood Watch volunteer, shot Trayvon, an unarmed 17-year-old, during a one-on-one confrontation Feb. 26.

Before the shot, one of them can be heard screaming for help.

Owen, a court-qualified expert witness and former chief engineer for the New York Public Library's Rodgers and Hammerstein Archives of Recorded Sound, is an authority on biometric voice analysis — a computerized process comparing attributes of voices to determine whether they match.

After the Sentinel contacted Owen, he used software called Easy Voice Biometrics to compare Zimmerman's voice to the 911 call screams.

"I took all of the screams and put those together, and cut out everything else," Owen says.

The software compared that audio to Zimmerman's voice. It returned a 48 percent match. Owen said to reach a positive match with audio of this quality, he'd expect higher than 90 percent.

"As a result of that, you can say with reasonable scientific certainty that it's not Zimmerman," Owen says, stressing that he cannot confirm the voice as Trayvon's, because he didn't have a sample of the teen's voice to compare."

Trayvon's mother said she knew her own sons voice, and now the voice analysis proves her correct.

It is too bad they don't have a tape of him so they can do a comparison. If he left any voice messages on anyones phone that could be used for a comparison.

Especially after that attempt by the Zimmerman haters to prove he wasnt injured using a poor quality video tape.
The leftwing media is still trying, though.

Zimmerman has no proof of injuries as he claimed and his claim of crying for help is no found to be a lie.

No 'proof' that the anti-Zimmerman crowd will accept, that is.

So, besides merely wanting the voice experts conclusions to be false, you know it's BS how exactly? And no, wishful thinking is not fact based.

They can't prove the voice was Trayvons, and they have to prove that given the quality of the audio and the circumstances of the call (recording device distance from screamer, including any obstacles) that a 48% return isn't a reasonable expectation for that computer program to give for any given voice. Owen's is giving a solicited opinion on a tape of a tape...

Not really- the voice analysis will be used as evidence that it was not Zimmerman which goes to his credibility.

"Not really" what? That this voice analysis of a tape of a tape that the paper paid for will be used as evidence? Nonsense, the investigators will use their own forensic teams to determine that, they certainly won't use this guy. And that team will do exactly what I described, they'll recreate a incident to see what those results say...

You are splitting hairs- the guy is a voice analyst. The defense will produce their own voice analyst only if they think they can prove it is Zimmerman. If they can not then that weakens their case.

I can't figure out their reason for defending him with so much evidence against him. If it was reported he was a Democrat they would be all over him crying for a hanging!

You're mistaken. They don't have to prove it was Trayvon's voice. Simply disproving that it's Zimmerman's is enough to taint his statements to the police. So, per the reasonable man statute, who's voice do you think it might be since it isn't Zimmerman's? Hint: Who else was in that deadly struggle that night w/ Zimmerman?

Since your reputation precedes you, I will STILL remain patient until such a time that irrefutable evidence is presented in a court of law.

Excluding or ignoring my demands, only beg the inevitable RIOTING that WILL occur.

All evidence is refutable but when enough circumstantial evidence is produced and no logical defense is produced it usually results in a conviction. Zimmerman chased down the kid after warned not to. He admitted shooting the kid. No hospital records of injuries to Zimerman, Screams were not Zimmerman. No eye witnesses support Zimmermans story. History of domestic violence and violence against a police officer on Zimmerman.

I would be the first to admit, that considering your evidence, if it holds up in a court of law, that Zimmerman will be punished accordingly.

That the Florida law needs reviewing, goes without saying.

I don't think it is going to take very long for this case to be decided.

The tragedy cannot be reversed, but the improvement to Florida Law should be forthcoming.

That anyone should hope for anything other than this, becomes another story.

If the Florida cops had done their job this story would probably have never made national news. It has been used for political gain by both sides and for racial division by both sides and the media. That is a travesty that taints our justice system.

Nothing can or will be presented in a court of law until such time as Zimmerman's been arrested and charged. And that doesn't appear likely to happen until the Feds step in and arrest Zimmerman for violating Martin's civil rights ala the 3 murdered civil rights workers in Mississippi in 1964.

Yeah, nothing violates one's civil rights better than murdering him!

There are two incredible ironies here. One is that Zimmerman, the police and his partisan, gun nut defenders are claiming that the Stand Your Ground law protects Zimmmerman. In point of fact it should've protected Trayvon Martin as it was he who was standing his ground.

You don't know if Trayvon threw the first punch. That you already convict Zimmerman tells me you have already concluded what occurred.

It may turn out we never have undeniably conclusive evidence in this case, and will be left, like you, to speculate.

I, for one, wouldn't want to live in or near 'ground-zero' when the chaos begins.

Remember, you are promoting the coming chaos.

It doesn't matter who threw the first punch. According to Stand Your Ground, as long as Trayvon felt his life was in danger because Zimmerman stalked him and had a gun he's entitled to defend himself. Please explain why the cons only care about Zimmerman's "justice" and not Trayvon's?
