ThinkProgress has obtained an internal memo from Premiere Radio Networks listing 96 national companies that have “specifically asked” their advertisments not be played during the Rush Limbaugh Show. Premiere is the distributor of Limbaugh’s program. The advertisers have also requested to be excluded from other right-wing hosts including Michael Savage, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity. According to the memo, the listed companies’ advertisements should be excluded from these programs because they have been “deemed to be offensive.”
The existence of the memo was first reported over the weekend by Radio-info.com, an industry newsletter. Radio-info did not publish the full list of companies. The memo was posted website of the Traffic Directors Guild of America, an association of professionals who distribute paid advertisements to radio stations. It was quickly deleted but ThinkProgress obtained a copy from a Google snapshot of the site taken on March 9.
Previously, ThinkProgress has reported that 50 companies requested their advertising be pulled from the Rush Limbaugh show following his sexist attacks on Sandra Fluke. The publication of the memo adds an additional 91 companies to the list of companies that have dropped Limbaugh:

During the 2008 election Ed Schultz said on his radio show that Sarah Palin set off a “bimbo alert.” He called Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut.” (He later apologized.) He once even took to his blog to call yours truly a “bimbo” for the offense of quoting him accurately in a New York Post column.
Keith Olbermann has said that conservative commentator S.E. Cupp should have been aborted by her parents, apparently because he finds her having opinions offensive. He called Michelle Malkin a “mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick.” He found it newsworthy to discuss Carrie Prejean’s breasts on his MSNBC show.
Left-wing darling Matt Taibbi wrote on his blog in 2009, “When I read [Malkin’s] stuff, I imagine her narrating her text, book-on-tape style, with a big, hairy set of balls in her mouth.”

Left-wing darling Matt Taibbi wrote on his blog in 2009, “When I read [Malkin’s] stuff, I imagine her narrating her text, book-on-tape style, with a big, hairy set of balls in her mouth.”
Matthews has wondered aloud whether Sarah Palin is even “capable of thinking” and has called Bachmann a “balloon head” and said she was “lucky we still don’t have literacy tests out there.” Democratic strategist Jehmu Greene, who is the former president of the Women’s Media Center, told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly in 2011 that Matthews “is a bully, and his favorite target is women.” So why does he still have a show?
But the grand pooh-bah of media misogyny is without a doubt Bill Maher—who also happens to be a favorite of liberals—who has given $1 million to President Obama’s super PAC. Maher has called Palin a “dumb twat” and dropped the C-word in describing the former Alaska governor. He called Palin and Congresswoman Bachmann “boobs” and “two bimbos.” He said of the former vice-presidential candidate, “She is not a mean girl. She is a crazy girl with mean ideas.” He recently made a joke about Rick Santorum’s wife using a vibrator. Imagine now the same joke during the 2008 primary with Michelle Obama’s name in it, and tell me that he would still have a job. Maher said of a woman who was harassed while breast-feeding at an Applebee’s, “Don't show me your tits!” as though a woman feeding her child is trying to flash Maher. (Here’s a way to solve his problem: don’t stare at a strangers’ breasts). Then, his coup de grâce: “And by the way, there is a place where breasts and food do go together. It’s called Hooters!”
Liberals—you know, the people who say they “fight for women”—comprise Maher’s audience, and a parade of high-profile liberals make up his guest list. Yet have any of them confronted him? Nope. That was left to Ann Coulter, who actually called Maher a misogynist to his face, an opportunity that feminist icon Gloria Steinem failed to take when she appeared on his show in 2011.
Pay close attention to the date on THIS report of lost advertisers. Also, the source they used. It was not some far leftist group who has a long history of anti conservative (not that ABC is a conservative group either) rhetoric.

NEWS FLASH: Tom Taylor from Radio-Info just reported that Premium Networks is suspending ALL national advertising on Limbaugh's program for 2 weeks.

The reality is just like Imus and his "nappy headed hoes" comment, the uproar will die down and he will get back his advertisers,..
"as many as 18,000 companies could be advertising on any one of the 600 or so stations that broadcast his three-hour radio program."
So just to be clear - if 100 advertisers 100% dumped ANY sponsorship of any station playing any Rush? It amounts to nothing,
however,
That isn't even close to what happens. That isn't how this works anyways. What happens (CONSTANTLY WHETHER ITS RUSH OR ANY OTHER SHOW) is that someone like Jerry's Peanuts Co. has a month of advertising on JKKL in Wantogwan.
Ok so far?
They run Jerry's Peanuts jingle 10 times a day on a bunch of different shows. 1 time it might run during their broadcast of Rush's show.
Jerry's Peanuts requests they don't run during the Rush hours - but they STILL DO run 10 a day on JKKL.
This actually happens CONSTANTLY. For example, Tammy's House of Toys asked if we could run her adverts MORE times during 'Olde Tyme Family Hour' than our late-night Power-Rock show.
But the basic thing you need to understand before you start dancing around in glee some opinion might get cancelled so others cannot hear it:
Nope. This is not happening. Not at all how you think it is happening. What's worse is that...

Nope. This is not happening. Not at all how you think it is happening. What's worse is that a lot of kooks reporting this (or like SNL doing this) actually DO KNOW what is happening here (and what is NOT happening) so are really being dishonest.
You are being fooled by a 'numbers trick' interpreted (wrongly) to 'sound like' somehow Rush is losing something or suffering some 'defeat'.
D'oh!
Will make this very clear again: There is virtually ZERO sponsor problem with Rush and his show. He might even come out ahead. But there is nearly ZERO affect on him whatsoever.
Don't respond by just 'denying it' or 'asserting otherwise' unless you are willing to explain HOW you came to those conclusions. Thx
