Envy: Obama's by-word

Envy and power. His envy is stoking his quest for power!!!

Better word would be incompetence. Its pure divide and conquer.

I'm not sure it's envy, at least on Obama's part. I don't think he envies a soul. I think he believes the hype put out about him completely. His agenda seems to be more you're not responsible for a damn thing in your life - if your life is good, someone else did it for (the government) and if your life is crummy, it's the fault of the guy standing next to you, or the guy who's giving you a job, or the guy who listened in school and did well, or it was that the gods reached down and touched whoever is doing better than you are, but it's not your fault at all. And the next line is "So come one, children, vote for me and nothing will ever be your fault." I think he's peddling anger and hate more than envy.

You're right, envy is the right word. But envy is just an emotion I do not understand. Well, except maybe in Vegas when I envy/wish I had more money to play with :)

Envy can be a positive thing to some degree unless it is the kind that winds up in hate. It can be a motivation to some...

I prefer to refer to that particular motivation as "wishing," or "I would like to have." It may be envy but it sounds nicer my way...:):):)

I'm sick of hearing Obama harp about "fairness"! Since when is life supposed to be fair? I'm sure the founding fathers of this once-great nation did not intend the federal government be the arbiter of economic fairness.

If Obama has his way, there will be no more peaks and valleys of income disparity and we will all find ourselves marooned on a plateau of shared penury.

How about elect someone else this election because it's fair? That one works for me. He's had his shot. What would now be fair would be for someone else to have a shot! :)

Obama through envy among other things is purposly tearing us down. With out public unrest there can be no government take over. This is all part of the Progressive plan and Obama is just one of many that want complete control and are doing everything they can to get it including causing the problems we are seeing more and more of everyday. If Obama is re elected America will be no more.

He can't run on his economic and or foreign policy record so without envy he has no campaign issues to run on. That simple.

Yet only for the useful idiots.This week when it's been so terrible hot,sticky and humid.Add that many people are on vacation and summer camp kids from NYC and other area inner city children use Sherwood Island state park a public beach in Westport was completely shut down. so he could land his helicopter there for a $35000.00 dollar a plate fund raiser at Weinstein's house.There are several homes in the area that a helicopter could land on Welch's old house(now his ex wife's) is right on Southport harbor he had the pool filled in so the GE helicopter could pick him up at home. Palmisano(former head of IBM and guest of the White House is right there too along with Wright's(former head of NBC too and so many others Yet that was the spot they chose? Of course what made the news was the $5000.00 dollar one at the Stamford Marriott and not of the other.May I add I-95 was shut down from the route 8 exodus to Greenwich.Even the kids who take sailing lesson at the Southport Yacht club were not allowed to Monday.No one was allowed anywhere near the shoreline in their boats because it was guarded by 2 Navy and 5 Coast Guard cutters.Whether you lived there or not.So envy the rich is what may come out of his mouth..but he had no problem treating the not rich as nothing more than insignificant.

It's sad really. We used to elect men of reason, philosophers, men of passion who believed in freedom. Now we've been reduced to a charisma driven beauty contest to pick which crooked ringleader will be in charge of the circus. To pick who will direct the acrobats and clowns to distract us while the carnies pick our pockets.

They say that's the real reason why Kennedy won is because it was the first televised debate and Nixon said he didn't need any make up.
