Energy Secretary Chu Admits Administration OK with High Gas Prices

Evil 1 2012/03/01 16:44:43
President Barack Obama's Secretary of Energy Stephen Chu uttered the kind of Washington gaffe that consists of telling the truth when inconvenient. According to Politico, Chu admitted to a House committee that the administration is not interested in lowering gas prices.

The consequences of the policy are not likely to be of benefit to the Obama administration. The Republican National Committee has already issued a video highlighting the spike in gas prices and the failure of the administration to address the issue.

This Summer, showing this comment in a campaign ad will drive home how out of touch Obama and his minions are with the crushing high costs of gas and food.

Because it will show that Obama Administration forwarding the Green Agenda thumps the need of the American people to maintain their freedom & current lifestyle!

The Democrats are the ones who are out of touch elitists. They don't care how much gas costs, they have our tax dollars to pay for it. Sickening!

The Dept of Energy was started in the Carter years to lessen our dependence on foreign oil and has so far done just the opposite. It's one of the Departments that should be dismantled because it's completely useless and costly as well just like the Department of Education.

Zealots of any stripe tend to operate in illegal ways to force their positions on all of us. Too bad that the current administration has so many of them and that reason, , facts and evidence, and the consequences of their actions are so meaningless to them.

They seem to ignore that it is not just high gas prices at the pump, but how gas prices effect everything thing else that is transported such as our food. Of course, the administration thinks we are all fat and don't need to eat or feed our children anyway.

The only viable way to get alternative energy 'off the ground' is to make it economically competitive with current energy sources. As foul as this notion is, it is the only way to get new technology up and running. Obama's methods are ignoring market-forces, and this, like all government intervention, AIN'T the right way to get this needed pursuit in the mix! In the not so distant past, there was government-funded R&D.; Paying out to private-enterprise the way Obama is doing, clearly the WRONG way of going about this.

Prices are going up, energy prices are going way up. Average wages are going down, buying power is going down, the value of our money is going down, opportunity to do better are way down.

Welcome to the global economy that your tax dollars paid to create and police. In an effort to serve us, our leaders, from both parties, just wanted to make sure that we would fit in better !

I'm in the process of looking for a bigger property right now, I have an acre but we outgrew it. My family is like you want to go back to farming? and I'm " What's wrong with farming?", They want me to move closer to them.

Five acres of woods, properly managed, can sustainably provide enough wood to heat most houses.

We know that, but we want something bigger since we are a huge family. I'm the oldest of 12, and I have 10 of my own. The reason we want a bigger property is that for some reason only my husband and I see where things are going and to tell you the truth if things get bad, where do you think everybody will come looking? In 2006 I told them that the housing market will collapse they tought I was nuts and told me to keep my opinions of doom and gloom to myself. I sold one of my houses back then, still have another one that was in the remodeling process at the time. My father still has land and houses 1/2 finished because he did not believed me.

half of the yard is full of water but it will not stay on the surface long enough to form algae. And in my car I do not think it will get me to the end of the street, I drive a 1995 Suburban, it still runs great so I'm not going to change it just because somebody tells me.

I realized you were kidding, but facts are facts. My husband wants to patent an invention for electric cars so that even big trucks can use it but it will require a major overhaul of our transportainon. I told him that I will walk him through it, even get him the best lawyers but I would not bother if I were him.

We HAVE a man down here, a retired automotive engineer, that developed an internal combustion engine that would run on sea-water with the only by-product being water vapor. Nobody knows what happened to the engine or the engineer??? Someone paid him to sit down and shut up I guess.

My husband still believes in the American dream, he came to the states when he was 26, did not go to college here but started his own cabinet making bussines. I'm more jaded since i grew up here and went to callege here, and I'm more involved in the community. I do not think that anybody will pay him off to keep quiet about his ideas, they will find a reason to revoke his citizenship, and send him back.

I have an uncle who dropped out of school in the 8th grade, a self-made millionaire, who to look at him you wouldn't think he had two nickels to rub together. My cousin was having trouble in school so my uncle went to see the teacher. The teacher "let in" on Uncle Robert; "what do you think you would have become if you had only stayed in school?" Uncle Robert replied, " a damn school teacher probably."

Exactly. My niece told me that if I had gone to school I would have known not to have so many kids and live in a nicer house drive a nicer car etc., I looked at her and asked her how many degrees does your mother have and she goes one, I brought her into my so called office at home and showed her all my diplomas and certificates and I told her that not the school makes the person that the person makes the school, and it's my personal choice to live the way I live and drive what I drive. Another thing I told her was that anybody can spilt a hundred in 2 or 3 but I want to see them split that hundred in 12 and make everybody happy. My sister was furious with me for doing this but I got tired of them telling my kids that you have to be in a private school to get a good education and what do you mean no after school activities, but going to work with your dad? Now they are at the point that they want to pay us to teach their children what my kids know. I had my sister in law offer my oldest 20$ an hour to tutor her son on the same subjects. I told her no. If the kid does not have the initiative to do it on his own than let him fail. She did and started homeschooling him, it's not easy for her since she was used to go at the mall all day long, but the kid thrives now.

The government run schools were designed to make good line workers by Woodrow Wilson for his buddies, Henry Ford, Bessemer (steel), Getty and other industrialists who wanted good line workers that could read plan-o-grams, instruction sheets, blueprints, etc. Good line workers, to know their place, do their job, be beholding to government for what little education they got, but not be able to figure out that arrangement.
