However I'd prefer to go to my local sweet shop and get one there. It's cheaper and you can eat it. Mars the planet is inedible.

If you want to stir the pot of imagination and do something that is achievable in a short time frame, go back to the MOON. We haven't been there since '72. It's been 40 years!
If you can't do that, then you aren't going to make it to Mars.

There where microbials found on the returning landers that where sent to the moon, it is speculated that there are bacteria and even viruses on every planet. I know a virus isn't actually considered living, but bacteria and small microbials are. There is life everywhere around us.

No, you are literally wrong. They did find microbials, that is microbiotic life. They did this long ago. Just because they can't invent an iPad or air conditioning, write books, drive cars, perform surgeries, or cook dinner doesn't change the fact that they are life. What you mean to say is that there is no intelligent life or other animals in the galaxy, and that is very presumptuous of you at this time.

We keep worrying about things here, the biggest reason we aren't up there in space yet is because everybody is still fascinated with this planet. Personally, I'm bored of this place, I wanna go somewhere out there. To each their own I suppose.
