Brian David Mitchell, the man convicted of kidnapping and raping 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart in 2002, will be sentenced on Wednesday.

And according to Radar Online, Smart will be there to publicly address her kidnapper for the first time.

Smart told local media in Utah she's unsure what she will say to Mitchell; her father Ed is also slated to speak to the child rapist.

Mitchell, a street preacher, was convicted by a federal jury last December on charges of kidnapping and unlawful transportation of a minor across state lines for the purpose of having illegal sex.

Initially, Mitchell was considered incompetent to stand trial but was eventually convicted in 2008 after lay witnesses declared his competency.

According to ABC News, Smart said she's speaking so she "will be able to reach out and help other children, other survivors
speak out about what's happened to them and give them real hope and
courage to take a stand."

Smart was missing for nine months before she was found just 18 miles from home.

She's now 23 years old.

Sounds like you need to take a course in celibacy and get your act together. You are probably costing the taxpayer 10 times what it cost to pay for incarcerating Mitchell.........

Yep...22,21,17,14,13,7...and a granddaughter. Excuse me but my kids are all well taken care of and my kid days are long over. WE supported and raised our children and don't cost the tax payers one red cent...so why don't you ASK me before you go around accusing me of anything? You don't know what you're talking about.

Thinking the pic was you are going to school made me believe you were in your're early 20's. I see it quite often of young mothers having this many children and it makes you wonder. If you are in the small minority of families that large and still surviving, I applaud you. I apologize for the misconception also.....

That would be a little harsh, wouldn't you say. I can't imagine it taking anymore then 15 minutes and Mitchells brain would be fried! That would be far worse then waterboarding!
