Eleven-Year-Old Boy Ordained as Minister: Too Young... or Too Awesome?

When Ezekiel Stoddard was ordained as a minister at the Fullness of Time Church in Capitol Heights, Maryland, last month it was a unique celebration -- one that turned heads and raised questions. Why? Because Ezekiel is just 11 years old. According to "Good Morning America," the son of two pastors decided to become a minister at this very young age when God spoke to him in a dream.

The young minister said, "God gave me that particular scripture [Psalm 23] because a lot of people, they try to draw you away from the Lord, trying to get you on the wrong path." When asked if people thought it was strange, he said, "People come to you, they ask you questions about why you should act like a child and not a minister. I do things like a child, but still I am a minister. I am an evangelical." But do you think Stoddard is too young to take on the role of a minister?

I think it is great his love of the Lord is so strong but he is far to young to be a leader of a church. The word of God says pasters should be men respected by others with a wife and children of good character.

Yes he does, God once made a donkey talk, should that animal be a paster? There is a time for all things and this young boy will grow into a great man of God but until then he should be in sunday school with the other children.

The kid couldn't possibly be mature enough or educated enough to be a pastor. He obviously hasn't graduated high school or been to a seminary. To me, ordaining an 11 year old is blasphemous.

This poor kid will probably never have even the most rudimentary understanding of reality, thanks to his parents' brainwashing. There should be a law against parents dragging their kids to church and polluting their minds with that nonsense. Let the kids grow to legal adulthood, and make their on choices.

Idiot first the Consitution is strongly found on those bible thumping ideas, 2nd their is only one real bible, 3nd the Bible did not say coward behide stupidly, tell the truth it says, nothing abourt cushing it to make it appeal to them, sin is sin which is death, so stop stripping the strenght of God's word so you don't upset someone whose is allready heading to Hell, So tell the truth, with love but still with it's power in tact.

I agree. I dislike some religious people who believe they know more than most people about many subjects, only because they have a spent large part of their lifetime studying and poring over a bible again and again. These same people, whose minds are entrenched in dogma, will unquestionably listen, follow, and obey their religious leaders.
