I think they understand what is right, and are supporting his cause.

I, and the thousands outside the embassy supporting him greatly.

Assange is in the fight of his life. I don't know if a bribe was given or not, but I'd be willing to give him money to keep him safe and alive. He was doing the world a great service and we need him and people like him. You know he was dangerous to corrupt governments, corporations and shadow power brokers. Otherwise they wouldn't be losing sleep trying to figure out just how best to "make him disappear."

Somewhere there is a bribe involved but I don't see what good it does him.

He's holed up in the Embassy and the Brit's have said they will arrest him as soon as he attempts to leave. He still has to get to an airport or marina and make off the "island".

Mexico is noted for bribes, so I think Ecuador is not much different.
