Drudge Reports:
Late Thursday evening, Mitt Romney's presidential campaign launched a new fundraising drive, 'Meet The VP' -- just as Romney himself has narrowed the field of candidates to a handful, sources reveal. And a surprise name is now near the top of the list: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice!

No domestic qualifications and too closely tied to Bush.
Besides, she is pro-choice and would thus cause the fringe right to revolt.

That's alot better than that communist( remember Alaska oil payments to the people) Sarah Palin. Although, she's better qualified for the presidency than Romney and the ego with the mormon would definetly be affected because he's also a mormon and blacks are not part of the mormon chosen people plan. It could be interesting.
But, it should be Hillary and Condeleza if you want a female ticket that would work. I don't think any party has much of a male counterpart to deal with that. Very.....interesting......It's like college all over again.

Uhhh, the "COMMUNIST" IS sitting in Alaska. I haven't got any communist oil money from the black kid. Did you? But folks in Alaska got the communist revenue distribution from Palin. What's communism to you?
Then, again, Romney outsourced so many jobs to COMMUNIST RED CHINA and approved of all the stupid war money ( borrowed, not stolen) that I'm thinking my party, the Red Republicans, is becoming what I don't want them to be. Or do you support the Reds?

(scratching my head) it was Palin who was/is pushing the Saul Alinsky (sp) approach to government.... how silly of me to think it was Barry Soterero.

I'm not familiar with the Saul Alinsky(sp) approach to government. If it includes skimming revenues from oil profits and distributing them to the citizenry (which is what she did in Alaska) then it is a communist approach.
I haven't heard from her on the MADE IN COMMUNIST RED CHINA, American Olympic uniforms, so I suspect she likes the COMMUNIST RED CHINESE making the American political statements for America at the British Olympics. The yanks really are whimps for not standing up and shouting out that the Communist Red Chinese are their arch enemies. But, what the hell, the blokes borrowed money to the tune of $2trillion dollars for 2 unwon wars. Hey...maybe the Bush administration is the communist adminstration you were talking about? It looks suspicious to me. How about you? You know, Palin and all?

It appears my humor was missed.... It was Barry Sotoero/Obama who is pushing the Alinsky model to turn this nation into a socialist nation... it's simple research that I"m sure the liberal mindset won't accept from an old lady who loves her country and our freedoms like me...

I'm just not amused at how my party accepts The Communist Red Chinese as a viable business partner. We are all twits. We're worried about all the wrong stuff and still we wave our flags and hold these bibles and proclaim our freedom as the Communist Red Chinese walk all over us and we say "that's good business".

Ms. Rice is brilliant and accomplished, well-spoken, and tough. However, I don't think she would help the ticket.

Romney needs to pick Chris Christy, to provide the oomph he lacks. Especially if he gave Christy a real job, like figuring out how to cut spending and calling out idiots on their behavior.

Ummm.... let's see, she's a Ph.D., a full professor at Stanford University, and while Provost at Stanford she accomplished what many said was impossible when she eliminated the University's deficit of $20 million and created a surplus of $14.5 million -- in two years. You?

Your "shoes" comment is why she probably wouldn't accept the position if offered. It is a perfect example of what the media does to conservative candidates, finding (or making up) some little comment that, when repeated often enough, becomes the focus of ignorant people's perception of a candidate.

I suspect she's far too smart to put herself through the meat grinder that now passes for "vetting" conservative candidates. (Ironically, if she was still a Democrat -- she changed parties during the Carter administration) she would be held up by the media (and, probably, you) as a shining example of an excellent candidate.

Agreed, it is totally irresponsible for the media to pick and choose candidates, promoting only those who agree with their personal ideology. The media has a job to do -- impartial reporting of facts -- yet they seem to have lost sight of this most basic, Journalism 101 concept.

(I realize, of course, that your 'shoes' comment was tongue-in-cheek, since everyone knows the Federal government cannot intervene unless and until the State requests them to. The governor of Louisiana and the Mayor of New Orleans both neglected to seek disaster declaration immediately, adding to the general chaos and incompetence of the situation. And what would you have had Ms. Rice doing during this time? If she was indeed buying shoes, or eating dinner, or attending a meeting, or... whatever, what on earth difference does that make? Did you expect her to stick her finger in the dike? Your comment is so off-topic that that I must assume you meant it as a joke.)

On the contrary, my friend. We support competent, intelligent people of both sexes, and all races, in leadership positions. (Have you forgotten that Ms. Rice had a "fairly significant" leadership position in the last administration?)

We just don't support promoting people who have no qualifications other than race or sex.

"We support competent, intelligent people" See above.. Romney is a serial liar. You don't know what he stands for or who he is. Romney could even be a progressive.

And exactly what did Rice do? If it was anything lile Romney, it will be "no more than what is expected".

Why not? Currently they are supporting a serial liar and someone who is not even a Christian. The only values the Mormon church has is money and power. And as far as the tinfoil hat factor, they are right up there with Scientology.

No one knows who Romney is. He has told a different story everywhere he went during the primary. Why anyone would believe him when he talks about Bain is laughable. What, does anybody seriously believe he is suddenly going to tell the truth? And presidential candidates since his dad released multiple years of tax returns. Rpmney is refusing to turn over more than 1. What is he hiding?

I never cared much for W but choosing Condi Rice as Secretary of State was a good choice. Rice is intelligent and compassionate.

It would be a masterstroke for Romney to choose her. Rice is female AND black. I was surprised McCain didn't choose her instead of that twit, Palin.

    I'm still voting for Obama.

Sec. of State has NO responsibilities regarding events happening inside the US. I'm from New Orleans and have no love for the poor governmental response to Katrina. But none of it was Rice's fault or problem. I bet LOTS of people bought shoes when Katrina hit and the levees failed.

The Druge report is hot air. Secretary Rice does not fit Romney's stance on abortion and he has said time and again that he will not staff his administration (I'm being politically correct here) with "pro-choice" advocates. Besides that, the left stream press would be all over her like maggots disecting every part of her life going back to potty training because she was in the Bush administration.
