This is heartbreaking to watch and as an old soldier myself brought tears to my eyes. Too bad more people can't show this type of loyalty to one another.

We had something similar happening.A bomb disposal guy got killed and his search dog died a few hours later .Vets said he had a seizure ,but the unit knew it was something more.The dog did not get hurt in any way( he hadn't been with the soldier at the time),but just curled up in a corner and died.

Funny thing is, my dog is next to me right now and every time I move to another room he follows me and lays down. Sometimes I think I love animals more than people.

Awwwwwwww. How sad!!! That poor dog. That soldier was his buddy. May the soldier rest in peace. I hope the dog will find a good home with someone eventually.
