Doesn't it seem that all we hear from the left is 'Talking Points' straight out of the White House from libs here on SH?

My wife has this aunt who was a legislator (liberal) in another state. I was hoping to get a real insight from her about how the left really thinks as all I get is talking points from libs here on SH. We visited her this summer and I thought "Oh boy, now I get the real scoop!" And what did I get? Talking points and lots of snide remarks concerning anything conservative.
I was shocked. I really expected better and certainly some indepth conversation about liberal policies even if she was wrong. She couldn't even prove her points and got really mad when I corrected her on obama's policy decisions which she should have known!

Poor woman, she's just marching over the cliff like all the rest of the libs are doing.
I don't think I'll bother discussing anything at Thanksgiving...poor thing will be in a funk then anyway. obama having lost and all, lol!

What amazes me is anything obama says the night before or at some rally is repeated ad nauseam the next day like it's some mantra unworthy of conscious thought. Worse all the alphabet channels repeat the same thing like it's manna from Heaven. Can't these people think for themselves?

I'm not surprised at that. Remember how they ramped things up just before the 2010 elections? Same thing is happening now with newbies coming on board SH every day spouting this crap like it's gospel or something.

Yeah, I just got off a post with some nimrod that had an interesting take on conservative women, wrong but he sounded logical at least in his own mind. But when I made a simple comment he dropped on me with righteous indignation and foul language. Usually it takes me a couple of comments to get a lib to that point but not with this guy, lol! Hey, a new record!

I was torn between first choice and third...lol... Good job on a choice for the lefties. Now lets see them give reasoning that doesnt include the words "I feel".

I have to try to avoid discussions with my lefty friends or we wont be friends anymore... Last "discussion" I had with one saw me yelling by the end. Didnt mean to. Just passionate and tired of but "that is just wrong" (when I have facts to back me up) as being her answer.

I never discuss religion or politics with friends. No point. A close friend of my brother's is a Republican congressman. I see him sometimes at back yard barbecues and such. Nice guy. He doesn't get on a high horse about the other party or his own views. What amazed him when he was first elected to Congress was the total chaos when it is in session. His take on that is quite interesting.
