Does the fact that 98% of black voters voted for Barack Obama in 2008 mean that a higher percentage of black people are racists than other ethnic groups?

No other ethnic group, white, Latino, Asian, Native American or other, voted 98% one way or another, or even remotely close to it. Does that mean that blacks are now the most racist ethnic group in our country?

All PC aside, is this too ugly a reality to address?

Let's clear the air; 98% didn't vote for Obama number one, so you and the others are stretching it. 95% voted for Obama and 90% of Black voters usually vote Democrat; 92% voted for Al Gore, 90% for Clinton and so on.

In addition only about 65% out of 42 million voted; so out of that 65%, 95% voted for Obama. Nice try, but by you desperately painting a false picture that actually shows how racist you are.

Oh, and by the way; Asians, Jews, Hispanics and College kids all showed more voter turnout for the Democrats in 2008, than before.

So you have earned this today Tncdel; be proud.

This is not a Yes or No question. This is like asking "Are you still beating your wife" how do you answer that? Like my Older no common sense White liberal sister she wanted to be a part of history; to vote in the first Black President no matter how unqualified he was.

Pretty retarded to be honest, whites have been voting for whites 100% for decades so using your logic whites are the most racist group of people.. But we know most Conservatives lack logic so your poll is a pretty pathetic stttempt to portray Blacks as the racist while ignoring the true racist group White people...

Many of the black voters viewed Barrack Obama as "their brother in the White House", but they see now that Obama is just as willing to sell them down the river as he is willing to sell anyone, regardless of the color of their skin. I think the black voters see that they, like the rest of America, can not withstand another 4 years of this Totaltarian(no, I don't mean Socialist) administration. Some will still vote for him ,but those are the ones that have not been paying attention to Obama, so they will discover for themselves, too late, if he is given another term, that he is trying to fundamentally change the UNited States, and not in a way that is even remotely beneficial to the people.

This man has no disillusions about what is going on with Obama. I have to get his book and read it. each person, regardless of color have the same opportunities, they have to take advantage of what is there for them. If they do not take advantage of their chances to do better, it is their own fault and no one else's.

I bet Latinos would vote 98% for a Latino (whatever that is), and Asians... maybe, although I don't see the Chinese voting for a Korean or Japanese voting for Chinese... I think it says more about blacks being easily fooled by a smooth talker that looks like them... so to hoodwink a black person, you gotta be black.

I think that black Americans voted for Obama for the same reason a Polish guy might vote for a candidate named Koshloski. Especially if there isn't much to inspire you in the other
candiadte. They wanted to see what would happen if one of their own became President.

The election in November will be interesting. Black people are capable of evaluating how this President has performed overall. I would expect that the President will get the majority of the black vote. Some are racist, some are just die hard democrats and will vote for him in spite of his obvious failure in leadership and fisical insanity.

I do expect that there are more and more black Americans, just like whites that are getting beyond judging people based on their color and few of them are likely to vote for the President.

That answer is too simplistic, I think. But, perhaps many of them were voting because they were racist.

However, since the black feel downtrodden and have yet to develop a real pride in their race, some may have felt having a black president uplifted them and gave them incentive to be proud of themselves.

Others may have believed he would solve problems and smooth the way for them to become successful without all the hard work that both blacks and whites(common people) have previously done to achieve success.

And some may have believed in all of his promises. Many whites must have too, for the minority groups alone could not have elected him.

Whatever the reason, they may vote the same way again.

If there would have been a third choice: "other" I would have picked it. Racism is definetly equal opportunity and I have met and seen black people who are racist, so I agree racism plays a part. But blind enthusiasm, especialy among those who are poor and not educated, also plays a part.

I have to call it as I see it, without sugar-coating it. Today, for example, I pointed out to a black guy all the things Obama has been doing that is harming our nation and making things tougher on black people as well, like how two weeks ago he issued 800,000 work permits to illegal aliens, not to out-of-work black citizens. And how he supports killing black babies before birth, and even newborns. But all I got out of the guy was a "duh" look that indicated his mind was already made up to vote for Obama again.

And it had nothing to do with how good Obama has been as a president or what Obama has done for black people.
