According to the U.S. Department of Justice studies through their own National Institute of Justice /Bureau of Justice Statistics, and the FBI Uniform Crime Report, every year for the last two decades, there are fewer and declining violent crimes and fewer and declining gun accidents where law abiding citizens are allowed to keep and bear arms, both at home and in public. Essentially, according to NIJ/BJS and the FBI, more guns = less crime.

Note too that the safest and most responsible segments of our society are the 10 million+ law abiding citizens with concealed carry permits. They are safer and more responsible in the safe and proper use of firearms than even the American law enforcement community.

It's been said that the thing criminals fear most are not police, not jail time, but the possibility of harming/attacking an armed citizen. It's agree. And gun control does nothing but disarm the law-abiding citizens, making it easier to target them

its called protection, the most people that own guns are not looking for a gun fight or to use them unless forced to do so, good post and its nice to see crime is dropping as a result of spiked gun sales, means that fighting for your rights as a person is becoming more and more popular amongst the peasants. funny they will most likely say they are prepping for when the shtf, not for the situation of a burglar, more people fear the government than they do the criminals, is that making a statement as to the identity of the real criminals if more people fear government than condemned men and women

Every year in the United States there are over a million people who have to rely on their guns to protect them selves. About half of them are in their homes. If it weren't for the right to bear arms we might have a million more deaths in this country every year.
Here in New Jersey we are second to California when it comes to strictest gun laws. We also are second in the country for the highest crime rate.
Hillary Clinton, Cass Sunstein and Eric Holder have made it clear to the public that they are not in favor of citizens owning guns. Yes, the Democrats and this administration are the reason gun sales have surged in the past three years.

And if a police officer actually *NEEDED* a gun for a call, doesn't logic suggest that the victim the call was made for, needed a gun as well?

This means that if you want protection from violent crime, for you and your loved ones; it’s up to *YOU* and *YOU ALONE* to provide it.

When more citizens own guns, crime goes down, when guns are banned, crime goes up. Every time.

Gun ownership will reduce crime by reducing the number of criminals!

Few stories of homeowners helping home invaders to the great beyond I'm sure helps things too.

Criminals never go into anything unless they think they have the upper hand. A gun in the hands of a householder gives said householder the upper hand, or at least an equal shot. (Pun intended.) Therefore the criminal does not strike.

Look at what we're dealing with Holder.

Law abiding folks can defend themselves, but look also at where Zimmerman is, when Martin was bashing his head into the concrete.

Another reason crime might be down is it isn't reported.

Did you hear about the 27 year old white lady who was delivering a pizza to a black lady and a black teenage boy? They (the blacks) stabbed her to death 50 times.

She (the victim) was delivering pizzas to try and support her little 3 year old girl. How often did anyone hear that on FOX News or any other news channel???
