Don Imus apologized to the Rutgers basketball team for calling them "nappy headed hos" but was, nevertheless, fired from his syndicated talk radio show. Russ Limbaugh should not be given special treatment by allowing him to stay on the air.

Rush Limbaugh is clearly in violation of FCC Regulations by using the public air waves for purposes of attempted character assassination and, possibly, solicitation for immoral purposes. Clear Channel should pull the plug on this bum.

The first Amendment guarantees individual right to free speech but all rights must be exercised sensibly. Limbaugh can't, just for kicks, yell "FIRE" in a crowded theater nor call Sandra Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute" even though he is a shock jock misogynist .

You can't compare the two.Rush owns his show,Imus was an employee of NBC therefore Rush is not under contract to a corporation that a Board of directors has power over.Another difference the Basketball team did nothing controversial in fact just the opposite they were to be admired for achievements.Not as Fluke who threw herself into the mix by testifying before congress using her personal information on a subject that was dividing our country.
