By "stirring the pot", knowing that there will be a violent reaction, do they share no responsibility at all?

I have better conversations with my 9 year-old.
“It is self-evident that what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack,” the White House press secretary, Jay Carney, told reporters aboard Air Force One on Thursday. “Our embassy was attacked violently and the result was four deaths of American officials.”
Until now, White House officials have not used that language in describing the assault. But with the election less than two months away and President Obama’s record on national security a campaign issue, they have come under criticism from Republican lawmakers who say the administration is playing down a threat for which it was unprepared."[1] "Ayman al-Zawahiri mourned the death of a leading commander from Libya and urged his followers to puncture the “arrogance” of the “evil empire, America”.
This taped missive first appeared on jihadist websites on Monday. On Tuesday, an armed assault claimed the lives of the US ambassador to Libya and three of his colleagues."[2]

"The killing of Sheikh Abu Yahya only increased the enthusiasm and determination of the sons of (Libyan independence hero) Omar al-Mukhtar to take revenge upon those who attack our Prophet," AQAP said in a statement, quoted by the US-based monitoring group." http://www.middle-east-online...
That happened just before the riots occurred. So you are right - no coincidence, just provocation.
The truth is that they would not have needed to wait long for an excuse to protest would they? If it hadn't been this film it would have been the cartoons in France or any number of ridiculous things.
Ultra conservative.
To the right of our American conservatives.
"In Egypt, an epicenter of the Arab Spring, hope turned to dismay, as human rights conditions, particularly religious freedom abuses, worsened dramatically under military rule. Honestly I have no defence to the allegation that the west is "decadent. corrupt and obsessed with money" any more.
a) You don't know that the movie was the product of a "right winger."
b) The violence in the Muslim world is NOT about the movie.
c) Instead of blaming this violence on people exercising their freedom of speech, why don't you instead start insisting that the Muslims deal with their anger-management issues?
I completely reject your "let's not do anything to make them angry" stance. Utter cowardice.
"The violence in the Muslim world is NOT about the movie." - whilst the act in Benghazi may not have been, the protests throughout the rest of the ME have been.
I do not condone the action of the muslims either, but it would be naive and disingenuous to believe that this film was anything other than deliberate provocation.
I'll keep an eye out.
