Obama does not want to do the things that are going to improve the economy of this nation he is satisfied with making thing sound good. First he asked for cut in spending and a $800 billion in new taxes. Then he changed too $1.6 trillion in no taxes and while talking about cuts he is asking for another $200 billion for stimulus.
Too top all this off he has cut permits to drill for oil by 36% and at the same time urged the EPA to make more regulation that kill more jobs and send jobs off shore. While doing this the left applaud him and voted him back into office. For every dollar we get in taxes he is spending 40% above that and he is asking to do more.
The President knows very well what he is asking is never going to pass in the House. Now we have Reid criticizing the House when he has not passed a budget in 4 years and the President has allowed him to get away with it. I have seen him on TV several times today and not on News agency has said a word about the fact of what Reid has been doing over the last 4 years.

Considering retail sales over the Christmas Season showed a sharp decline, where does Obama think funding for his crushing taxes is going to come from? If no one has the money to spend, retailer and big corporations are inable to make anywhere close to the profit they require to achieve Obama's goals.
Let's be realistic: when there is no money flowing through the economic system, there are no funds to pay toward a hefty tax bill. Instead of burdening the country with more taxes, why does the President so adamently refuse to take the part of the American people by giving them relief against the looming fiscal cliff?
Many seem to forget: Obama and the Democrats are in charge here. They continue to hold the 2/3 majority in government yet they act as though they have no control over what's going on in Washington. By playing the blame game and refusing to negotiate over the plans presented by the minority party (the Republicans), they prove themselves to be too weak to manage the country. They have in effect shown themselves incapable and inadequate to maintain the majority they have held for more than 5 years.
When will Obama quit the petty squabbling and put the American people FIRST? We are tired of suffering and want to think there's a pot of gold at the end of this dismal rainbow.
