One thing I know for sure, Mitt Romney is not a communist or a marxist. People that complain that he is rich, so what? Barry wants to take the rich people's money.........to give to the low lifes that do NOT work. He is not a liar we all ready have a liar in chief in OUR White House and he totally disrespects the office. He surrounds himself with morons like Turbo Tax Geither, Robert Gibbs, Jay Carney, Erik Whitaker, Valerie Jarrett, and his ugly wife that likes to spend our taxpayer dollars for all the vacations, jewelry, and shopping trips. We need someone like Mitt Romney to bring grace and elegance back into Our White House. Someone we can be proud to say he is our POTUS not some moron that doesn't know how to govern. Someone that will not side with the Muslim Brotherhood and foreign socialists.

Most of the yahoos posting comments don't seem to be aware that there is no longer a Republican Party in this country. What was left after 8 years of "W", has been taken over by extremists who want to destroy this country. They do not live in a fact based world. Ideology controls their sad, little lives. Just think of the cast of characters from the Republican primary. Religious freaks, a pizza king, a Libertarion who supports returning to the gold standard and of course Mitt. And what makes Mitt qualified to be President? Why he defeated all the rest of the jokers. If Romney wins I cannot wait to hear what these same folks will say when he increases the debt, attacks Iran and raises their taxes so the "job creators" can get even bigger tax breaks. What a country. What we need is more racism and bigotry as expressed in the comments above. Mitt sure does represent the Republican Pary...or what is left of it. Go 1%, Go.

there should be a "yes and no" option here, Romney represents the business side of the Republican Party extremely well but does not the Social Conservative wing of the party at all, if you look back at his record as Gov. of Mass. and as Senate Candidate he is actually pretty liberal on social issues

Romney is very representative of the current leadership of the Republican Party (RINOs).

But by no means is he a Reagan Republican or Conservative by any stretch of the imagination. His record as Governor of the State of Massachusetts mirrors Obama's record as President in his policies and actions as Chief Executive of the State. As such, as I could never bring myself to vote for Obama, neither could I vote for Romney.

In the end voting for the "Lessor of Two Evils" is still voting for Evil. We don't need another 4 years of Obama, much less another Bush. We need someone with strong moral character, Conservative values, a proven leader not a follower as Romney admitted when he claimed he was only going along with the people of Massachusetts wishes, with the ability to clearly communicate their thoughts as to a course of action (or why we shouldn't) to lead this country to the "Shining City on the Hill."

As it's between Obama or Romney, I would prefer another 4 years of Obama and endless gridlock in Congress blocking Obama's Socialist agenda then to have 4 more years of a Bush-like Presidency that though not as openly socialist in nature, did bring us closer through the need to be viewed as a Bipartisan Presidency.

It's time for a Third (True Conservative) Party and the current pretense that the Republican Party is anything other then a sub-party, annex of the Democrats needs to be drop.

Does anyone not get that any conservative player is better than the marxist in the white house? I have no problem with Romney. He will serve us well. But damn, this country is in severe trouble if we let this buffoon in the office continue to destroy our country, our constitution, our basic founding fathers principles.
  • clance Bach 2012/05/17 16:56:55

He is but "ONE" man who "THINKS" he's Emperor, Lord and Master of all he surveys.

There is still 535 elected representatives of the People in power at the Federal level, 2.3 million men and women currently in our Armed Forces which have sworn a oath to uphold and protect the Constitution from enemies both foreign or domestic and estimated 85 million individual firearm owners with more then 300 million + firearms to divide between them!

Do you really think that "ONE" can destroy this nation unless "WE" let him?
  • Bach clance 2012/05/23 22:55:49
    Bach
ha well, the "one" you elected has destroyed us and if we let him continue another four years, god save us. We are done. We will never recognize our great country again. Romney is just a man who never claimed to be anything more and he knows how to run a business. Our government is a business. The buffoon is office ran a little community organizer group. Damn.

Maybe you should re-read my posting.

I didn't support Obama nor did I McCain, both were/are idiots.

But ask yourself how can "ONE" man do anything unless others let him. Obama can't do anything unless he has majority support in both the House/Senate and either house won't move unless they believe the American people won't throw them out of office.

Because most don't pay attention to what is going on, not only do we have a individual in the White House that with a little research we would have known what his agenda was. But now we have a GOP candidate hand pick not only by the Party's elite but also by the Democrats. What do I mean? The first time I heard that Romney was the best choice to defeat Obama wasn't by a talking head of the GOP leadership but by a known Democrat in the media. So once again the American people have let the Demublicans hoodwink them into believing that they were in control, that they are making the choices.

Wakeup! America before it's to late.... The time for a Third Party is at hand!!!!

Romney's bipolar politics does represent today's GOP. The GOP is being torn apart in the fight by Gingrich slash-and-burn Republicans, Social Conservatives, Libertarians, and just regular Republicans.

If Romney would drop the Conservatice nonesense and return to his moderate roots, then he would be a more attractive candidate.

And no, too. While he is not the most conservative, at least he is not one with socialistic tendencies, as the Democrat candidate does. He does not have lots of questionable friends, unless you count his fellow Mormons. Hopefully, the American people will look past the media's attempt to stretch the truth and tell outright lies.

    Joshua:
For an apparently educated young man you need to look at our economy and understand that Obama wants to bring the US down to the level of Kenya and other third world countries that is his goal.
What has made America great is the freedom to invent, create and take risk at our own expense, and if you take this risk with your money and livelihood shouldn't you reap the rewords.
Now you have the opportunity to determine if your education will be put to use with a rewarding career or move down to the level of Kenya. It is your vote don't run us over the cliff please.
A third party vote is a vote for our demise as a great nation.

It sounds like you know everything. I find that disturbing because this race we are in is not a contest your comments seem to suggest. We have not had a debate on a single issue that includes any details, just sound bites. Most people don't have a level of understanding of the dynamics pertaining to a single issue rather they want to drag race, their personal niche, religion, poor people and so on when in fact the real important issues are being pushed under the rug. That has been the strategy of certain persuations since this cycle has begun. Nobody wants to consider "could I be wrong?, where did this data come from, is it credible and complete?, who was responsible for what happened and how? Should we be looking at the impact of our actions are long range? Those questions which have been left to us. We should unite and embrace the actual facts and move the cycle and our future forward and not backwards! Regards

What your apparent bias can not see is that everything that cat was saying is a lie! To say that conservatives want harm for women would be funny to hear said if not so serious. Conservatives want to elevate women not tramp on them as cat suggests. Conservative want to raise the level of all people to be able to provide for themselves and their families, not give them just enough to get by in poverty as the liberal programs have done. And if you want to believe in God (as our country's founders did), that's ok. If not, just allow the majority of the country that wants to, the chance to worship Him in the way they believe is proper.
  • EdVenture Bob 2012/06/03 22:54:39
    EdVenture
You know if it was your means of survival and food I'm sure the comment "raise the level of all people to provide for themselves" would just bring great comfort to you. How about what u would do to make that happen? How about raising the minimum wage profits are up by 5000% over the past 20 years how much is the minimum wage and for that matter how can anyone live on it? Your comments sound great but leave a lot of people hanging without much confidence given the GOP campaign comments, and privatization has proven itself to corrupt and exploitive. No details big issues, i'm not swallowing that anymore. The womens issue is only on the table as an assault on the health care being pushed by the insurance cos and the church in an effort to legislate their interests or beliefs on all or to keep the golden goose. Anyone can worship what their faith commands my position is i don't want to have the church legislate to me what i can and cannot worship. separation of church and state is for a reason. Sorry to be so abrupt sounding i just have some firm feelings and am tired of the dysfunction deliberately being imposed on this nation without reservation!
