I wish there was an I don't know. He Represents the Neo-Conservative/Fiscal Conservative that the GOP has become. He does not Representive true Conservativism, but that is not the question. He represents the watered down, elitist, status quo of killing America that both the Democratic and Republican parties have become. If they were truly Conservative to the Constitution as old GOP, Ron Paul would win in a landslide. I just don't think the GOP has balls anymore, so Romney is the perfect example of the Mainline GOP's current face, and the reason why the Tea Party is separating more and more from the Republican Party.

More like joined at the hip with very poor results. The big WH deal had 3.3 trillion in cuts, 800 billion in revenue. Getting nothing done triggers 1 trillion in cuts and 4 trillion in tax revenue when Dubya tax cuts expire. No compromise by the TP and GOP has come back to haunt them.
  • Jericho Jimbo 2012/05/11 19:23:42

Not really. There are people that claim to be Tea Party, but are not. Dubya and the tax cuts were the brain child of the Neo-Cons and they kind of bamboozled the last election cycle by trying to highjack the Tea Party movement, but I believe that the majority of people would agree that Government on both sides of the aisle balooning the debt to epic proportions is not what the tea party stands for.
  • Jimbo Jericho 2012/05/15 14:14:52

Tea Party backed GOP reps walked away from 3.3 trillion in debt reduction because their Norquist pledge made them not accept 800 billion in mostly loophole closing revenue. 4-1 spending cut to revenue is a win for the Tea Party. No compromise will see a 600 billion cut to defense, a 600 billion cut to discretionary spending, the end of Dubya tax cuts 4 trillion in revenue. 4-1 revenue to cuts is not something I think the Tea Party wanted but it is the result of actions taken by who they backed.

Well that is because they believed mainline Neo-Cons who took on the verbage of the Tea Party for the most Part. The Tea Party remains Powerful if it becomes a true 3rd party like the Whigs or the National Union Party before them, gathering support from Republicans and Democrats. Every so often a true 3rd party can force cooperation and progress, but more often than not, when 2 parties gain absolute control of the vote, one leans on the other and does the same things with different verbage--which is the era we currently live in.

If Romney is supposedly to carry the standard of the republican party, that should tell you all you need to know about the fall of the RINO party.

Be glad the Libertarians have a real and better alternative.

Romney had to tack far right to counter Pope Santorum, best known for 2003 remarks about homosexuality, incest and bestiality. But his strangeness runs deeper than that. Romney has said he is a severe conservative. But no. He isn't. Romney is actually a moderate. His signature achievement was a health reform identical in all important respects to the national reform signed into law by President Obama four years later. And in a rational political world, his campaign would be centered on that achievement and what worked and what did not.

So he can’t run on his record in office. Instead, his stump speeches rely almost entirely on fantasies and fabrications designed to appeal to the delusions of the righteous conservative base that so loved Pope Santorum. But Romney knows elections are won in the center. To meet Obama , he will have to go there. That is what the Romney aide was saying when he made the Etch a Sketch quote. He is correct. They will have to start all over with a centrist Romney, and the far right extremists will have a major meltdown. It will be fun to watch, but at least we will finally meet the real Romney. Well, then again....

What makes you think so? He's big money and big corporations anyone who likes this combination will always have handlers and will always look out for his own best interest. No doubt in my mind he will be just as un-consitutional and his direction will be going after your property rights as he pushes through his "agenda" of making himself richer.

If the constitution is not important to you - you're only going to get more of the same or what we alreaday got. With each new administration being worse than the last.

He represents the Progressive RINO's and Democrat's very well. What makes the socially tyrannical conservatives drop their cheap rhetoric about constitutional small government and rule of law is that he is not Obama and he will still pacify their insecure paranoid compulsion for aggressive domestic and foreign warmongering.

Sure seems to most its the Democrats that are doing the FU@KING.

Lets re elect a guy who has done nothing but LIE for 3 1/2 years. Hell even 0WEbamas mentor has come out to show what a LIAR 0webama is and STILL you support 0WEbama.

Here is a link to the audio where Rev. Wright exposes 0WEbama as a LIAR.

Did I say that I was a Democrat? Just because I don't agree with the Republicans doesn't mean I am a Democrat. Can you not READ? I mean you read my post before about what I believe politically, and yet now you say that I support him when I have stated several time not only in this thread, but ALL OVER this web site that I don't support Democrats or Republicans.

    Funny guy. Funny guy.

Currently I support no candidate. That is because I am doing research. And one would think that at your age you would understand that there are more than just the two candidates.

Either you are not 46, or you are that uneducated or that politically stupid.

Well I am drastically more informed than you are OBVIOUSLY because I support a businessman that has a better chance than anyone else to beat 0WEbama. You can waste your vote on some clown that has not a chance in hell beating 0WEbama and you will get another 4 years of total disaster.

Same direction same policies ... other than some social issues the same person right down to the dirty tactics he and the GOP have been doing with the caucuses, primaries and denying delegates ...

He's everything the Obama is and worse because he's got the money and the backers to make him completely ruthless ... why, because he loves it!

He's big money and big corporations ... and those who make this their love will always have handlers. We don't need a friggin ruthless businessman, we are not a business we are a Republic with a good Consitution which outlines the Law of the Land to be followed not broken.

Obama has a less than 50% approval rating and 60% think the country is heading in the wrong direction so they are tied atm. But Obama is drpooing every day.
Once Ron Paul is out of the picture for good Romneys will climb higher.
