Does it matter whether politicians engage in "childish name calling" when politics seems to be based around said name calling and a large amount of people who claim to follow politics engage in immature tirades as well?

I thought of this when I saw the description that followed a question posted earlier. Said description was:
"At a time in America when we need REAL LEADERSHIP, Ron Paul engages in childish name-calling. Is it presidential behavior or not?"
A prime example of the immature behaviour I am talking about can be found right here on SodaHead.

Not really. No matter what they say, they'll do what they want once elected.reply - rhstarr 2012/01/05 21:21:22
I think its stupid. They wanna run our country but at times they act like five year olds with all the name calling and trying to make each other look bad.reply - randy 2012/01/05 21:11:21
Basically, we have one party with 2 names. Since The Party is a failure and have nothing to run on, the candidates have nothing but name calling and accusations against their opponents.reply - Ves~Sailor Soldier of PHAET 2012/01/05 20:54:00 (edited)
