What makes me even sicker is the right wing brainwashing of mature adults that have the ability to think for themselves, and a voter ID!!!

Although I don't exactly support gays, I do not condone committing acts of hatred towards them. Anyone who is trying to manipulate teens to do this is a very bad influence.

Kids basically take in everything when they're young but when they find out that they themselves are individuals and begin to understand what that means they tend to regurgitate all the knowledge or beliefs that they don't fully understand when they approach young adulthood. Then comes the task of them finding themselves again. The point is if you just let these kids show you who they are then it's better for everyone than just force feeding your own beliefs down their throats.

I am very thankful that my sister is my political polar opposite. This has given her kids and my son the opportunity to hear from both sides. As they grown into teens and young adults, they are better equipped to make their own decisions.
BTW, there's brainwashing on both sides of the aisle.

Okay, genius -- there is no such thing as homophobia (it's a made-up term designed to silence people), and opposing "gay marriage" is not bigotry.

North Carolina, where the brilliant young lady in the video resides, just became the 31st state in which a POPULAR VOTE shot down "gay marriage."

I guess the majority of the people in those 31 states are just a bunch of raging bigots, at least in your intolerant mind.

Try again. Try coming up with a LOGICAL reason for supporting "gay marriage." Demonizing your opponents and calling them hateful names doesn't cut it.

Let's see some rationality from your side -- not your typical demonizing and name-calling.

LOGICAL reason for supporting gay marriage... it will help boost the economy. help prove all people are equal. give kids to have a chance to have a family through adoption.

Its a matter of fairness and in the end justice. Children aren't born with intolerance, hatred, bigotry or unfairness. Its taught and how are we all ever going to get along as long as it exists? A gay couple doesn't affect you one iota, it doesn't affect your own life, marriage or your family. Only when you turn yourselves into the self-righteous, sanctimonious hypocrits does it all spill over into society.

To say there is no such thing as 'homophobia' is like saying there is no such thing as claustrophobia, arachnophobia, or agoraphobia. Just because you don't want to face facts, doesn't mean they don't exist.

There are a LOT of bigots in this country. But more, there are people highly resistant to change, and unfortunately, those are the people most likely to turn out at the polls. It's only a matter of time.

How about we are a Republic and not a Democracy, and the majority of the electorate is not what matters when it concerns civil rights.
If we listen to your argument and believed your point of view neither Blacks, Hispanics, Asians or for the matter Women would have any rights.
So stfu and go make me a sandwich!

Kids should be guided to learn to think for themselves,to learn to know what they want, what they don't want, what they like and what they dislike and not conditioned and tuned to match the personal ethics of those who already do know,-otherwise we have brainwashing and mind rape.

It does make me wonder if people read the bible where it comes to marriage, there are a few interesting facts that really make me wonder how people take this book seriously.

It's interesting how people rant for days how marriage is between a man and a woman, yet leave out how Jesus instructs believers on how to dispose of hated wives, and even how several passages within the bible tell the devout to not get married unless they happen to have sex with a woman.

    http://youtu.be/OFkeKKszXTw

There are few interesting things that are seemingly always left out of the "traditional bible marriage" conversation.

We advance at the speed of light in so many ways, except tolerance, peace and humanity. Humans are so self-centered and greedy by nature. It makes me wonder if we will ever reach a higher level of being as a species. I feel like there is a subconscious war going on, as there are people who want to better the world for all humanity, there are people who want to hold on to the very animal nature still alive in us. We WILL evolve, because that is an inevitability of life. And the haters are fighting for their 'kind' with all to the very end.

People can read into this as they will..

I didn't say it was bad or wrong. I was just making sure that what he meant by "science" was the theory of evolution.

I was raised in a very religious home. At school I was taught evolution. I understood that they were different beliefs. I wasn't ruined because I was taught evolution. I do believe teachers should just teach but not promote beliefs. That is not their place. .

because there is no evidence to support the claim and is being used to push religious dogma on other people it shouldn't apply to for the purpose of converting everyone.

ex nihilo . . . sound familiar? Please explain as it relates to evolution.

You see, I believe God created everything, & science spends endless hours "discovering" what He created, & using it for good or evil. I believe it's a symbiotic relationship, don't you?

ok, your asking me how everything in the universe came about? I don't know entirely, but I'm not going to assume it was all done by some grand magical being that did it just to be worshipped, and is more than willing to torture you if you don't. Not in any way does it make sense to me that we were created for the reason of worship.

Yes it is, but if you think about it, anything we teach children could be considered "brainwashing", because we are trying to instill in them certain values, beliefs, knowledge, and critical thinking skills. Those are good things that children need in order to be good citizens and people. What is at issue is WHAT we want to "brainwash" them with . . .
