Does It Make Sense, Presidential Nominees Waste Over Millions Campaigning, Then Accuse Their Opponent Of A Bad Economy.?

I AGREE, STOP WASTEFUL CAMPAIGN SPENDING.
SAVE THE MONEY. AMERICANS ALREADY SEE THROUGH YOU.
OH BUT I LOVE ALL THOSE FREE HATS, PINS AND BALLOONS.
A NOMINEE NEEDS ALL THE MONEY HE CAN COLLECT.
You!

Think of over millions of dollars each Presidential Nominee spends on foolish television ads, expensive traveling costs through U.S. States, just to make speeches on already organized stages, where campaign management choose as many pro voters to attend as possible.? How many times are questions truthfully answered, or not answered at all by such Nominees.? Americans get bombarded with playing bands, balloons, patriotic hats, all gimmicks.! Do these Nominees ever sit all day at a food distribution center.? Do they eat with Americans at Salvation Army Soup Kitchens.? They really don't learn very much about Americans do they.? Intelligent Americans can usually size up Candidates, and Nominees watching them on TV debates. We need more televised debates. Nominees need to stop the blame game on each other, when they don't even practice what they preach.! STOP

This is such a good question! It is out of my realm of comprehension how campaigning is allowed to cost so much. There should be a list of policies that each candidate is running on, and then debates. Nothing more, none of the whistle stops, bus tours, plane tours, and all the negative crap that they are allowed to do. It is a waste of time and money.

These candidates usually only go to already pre- arranged locations where campaign management get as many pro followers as possible. How can these Nominees get up speak to Americans about our economy, while wasting over millions for nothing. It does not show they are economically smart to run the United States. They rarely answer a direct question with a direct answer.

I am opposed to campaigning. If a candidate HAS any thoughts, he should put them on paper, make clear his agenda on that piece of paper, then post online on a site run by the government his information. He should never be allowed to edit it. Every candidate should do this, as well as send copies to news outlets. Everyone should be advised which site this info is on and which papers resumes can be found in - and that should be the ONLY campaigning allowed. Cost? Practically zero.

Great point! Thanks! I can see though candidates watching them debate on television. I would like to see more debates.

There are also Conservative journalist moderators. Fox News sponsors debates sometimes. Candidates true to themselves, honest with their true ideals, can stand up to any journalist's questions. Those who are weak, will fall fast, stumbling over their own words.

So true Nam. They say anything to get your vote. Political Parties are becoming more cut throat than ever.

I'm fed up with politicians. I think I can count on one finger those who have any integrity whatsoever. And I could be wrong about that one who is a member of neither major party. Every problem America faces is the direct result of politicians thoughtless policies, hateful speech, and rabid corruption.

I agree there is way to much corruption in politics and they are getting very bold and don't seem to care who gets hurt as long as they get what they want.

It does not have to take millions of dollars to run for U.S. President. Televised debates tell it all. Actions often speak louder than words. A few don't have much to say anyway. Campaigning, eating in expensive restaurants, useless staged speeches, lobbying for campaign funds, while American families struggle, cheap shot attack ads invade our TV sets, Media hype for the gullible. Waving flags, silly hats, cheap campaign pins, marching bands, flying balloons, Sorry, no time for any questions.? Are these qualifications for becoming President of the United States.?

no if I were running for president I would stick to the issues and have people around me that were interested in how to fix things and make life better.

Of course, that is how a potential U.S. President should be. They deliberately won't give direct answers on issues. Some still play outdated political games. By now American voters should be sick of all this. Qualifications to run for U.S. President need to be raised; not who raises most money. That old saying: anyone can be President of the United States, can't apply anymore. That is how we wound up with so many incompetents.

There would have to be legal laws. I presume such a bill would have to pass Congress, (good luck) or go to the Supreme Court, (good luck.) A proposition should be put on the ballot for Americans to vote on. Such proposition would most likely win by a landslide in favor.

Repeal Citizens United. We have no idea where the money is coming from with 2 billion to be spent on this upcoming election. This cries out for campaign finance reform. There could be foreign money contributed without our knowledge, and we will never have a greater than two party competitive race with this current system.
