I think that clothing made in China is not great quality but besides that, if the Olympic organizers cannot have more pride than to purchase it from them I think there is something wrong.. I also think whoever designed it should be fired.. why do we want our teams to look like French athletes? Where is the American pride and the American workers? I read yesterday that the government gave a 5 billion road contract in Texas also to the Chinese ( a government firm).. HUH? what about all those shovel ready jobs obama keeps talking about?? was this one?

Yes

Almost everything is made in China now, even the olympic uniforms and soon it will be the athlets themselves. After all the chicomms produce them in large numbers so after selecting the best ones for themselves they can rent the others to US with the sticker made in China.

yes..hardly anyone where I live uses plastic bags anymore..we use cloth bags .. over and over.. and we also go out of our way to NOT buy things made in China..occasionally you get fooled and find out afterwards that it was imported.. but I think we should try.

FYI the plastic bags are not all bad, they are made from ethane. It is a product that is flared off in the production of natural gas.

Capitalism involves free trade and that does not exist between China and the U.S. We allow their products to be sold here with no restrictions or tariffs while they tax the hell out of anything we attempt to sell there.

Since we have the best government money can buy, it's not too hard to figure out that we have been sold down the river.

You are exactly right. We must tax foreign goods at the same rate as they tax ours. The only way to have fair trade is to make level the playing field. We don't have slave labor.
