If we are going to represent the USA in the Olympics, our uniforms should be made in the USA. It shouldn't be that hard to make a few hundred ( or however many needed ) pairs of shorts, t shirts, swimsuits, for whatever we need in what competition we are in. Crazy isn't it.

Wow. Just think, folks, when you see American athletes wearing clothing that was made in China that the people who contracted with China to make those uniforms are Americans! Now doesn't that make you feel proud? Really, RL is an company based in America so that makes everything right! As for the cost of the uniforms, the difference between Chinese products and American products is not important. The fact remains RL sucks.

I'm sure it is an American company and I don't argue that. But RL is pretty darned expensive. I can be pretty certain, there are other Mfg's in America, that could made them cheaper.

Yes but not as much as it bothers me that our military's uniforms and even the majority of our nation's flags that fly over most of our country aren't made within the United States either.

Good point. Military field uniforms (ACUs, MCCUs, ABUs, NWUs) and most of the "digi-utilities" out there are made in the Domincan Republic. After 9/11, Chinese flag manufactures were offering overtime to anybody who wanted it to produce American flags because Americans were reduced to knotting red, white and blue gift wrap ribbons on their automobiles and pinning it to their labels because there were not enough American flags and lapel pins to go around. Sad

It bothers me a lot that nothing is made here in the US. Why would anyone even think about having something that represents the US made in China. Perhaps it is only a few uniforms that will not make or break a business... but it is the very principal of the thing.
