Actually Huckabee/RonPaul would be best for our country. NEVER Romney!

The Democrats are backing McCain. They know that if he gets the nomination we will have a Democrat in the White House for the next 4 years. John and Hillary are the same they just sit on opposite sides of the aisle.

He's not interested in beating McCain. He's interested in sucking McCain's ass.

I don't think that Huckabee is shooting for the VP or any other position except President. He honestly believes he can win this thing.

Then he's a complete moron whose delusions will result in the undoing of the Religious Right. He's taking the vote away from McCain's true opponent. McCain will lose the general election, because Conservatives will not vote for McCain no matter what. President Clinton or President Obama...it makes no difference...Christian doctors, nurses and pharmacists will be required by law to participate in abortions or their licenses to practice will be rescinded. Christain attorneys will be similarly required to tow the line. It will be the end of Christianity in America, thanks to "Reverend" Huckabee.

Actually, he is not taking away votes from Romney. I'm not sure of the source, but it has been said, and I've talked to a few people personally, that second choice for Huckabee voters is actually McCain. So in a way, I think Huckabee staying in actually is keeping McCain from running away with the nomination. I'm sure there are some that would vote Romney if Huckabee was elected, but it looks like McCain and Romney would pretty much split the votes.
I do agree that Christianity in America will go through a dark time if Clinton or Obama wins the election. The only thing we can hope for is if the Republicans regain the house and senate (which is a possiblity)

I think sayoing "it will be the end of Christianity in America" is a pretty naive thing to say. This country was founded on freedom of religion. If anything...undoing of the Christian Right will be a step back to the true democracy this counrty was founded on. This is afterall a Democracy...not a Theocracy.

    you who.
who was setting up a theocracy?
I heard that about Pres. Bush too.
This is always the fear factor.A religious person will set up a theocracy.I always have to laff. What about Obama and his Messiah complex?

Nope. He's done. Maybe he'll be VP for McCain.
I'm sad about the whole thing. I really want Romney, but he's not doing so hot. At least he won my state yesterday on Super Tuesday! I'm not a McCain fan. He's too damn old, and his ex-junkie wife really creeps me out.

Cockpunch -- was his wife an ex junkie? wow, thats been kept quiet! I'm an Independent so I think if they're gonna spill the dirt on Dems you should expose the dirt on the Repugs - although McCain has enough of his own, without hers, to turn me off (though I totally respect his military service to this country)

Yeah. She used to steal drugs like Vicodin from her own non-profit medical relief organization.

Here's how they played it right before the media was going to "out" her a few years back:

    http://www.salon.com/news/fea...

The article is few pages long. I like how McCain ignored her addiction too. Nice work.

Cockpunch -- OMG I just read the article -- I work in DC 1 block from WH -- I thought I was pretty politically savvy, but just goes to show they all have skeletons Americans don't know about yet -- Wow -- you just watch - if McCain gets the nomination, this information will spread like wildfire!
We all know McCain has a terrible temper himself -- the article says the drugs gave her a bad temper too -- hmmm -- think Johnnie has been in mommies pill bottle?
Thanks for the info - appreciate it : )

I honestly do not think that McCain will choose Huckabee for a VP. Once Romney drops out or Huckabee, his usefulness to McCain will be over.

he has the momentum just not the big name recognition the other candidates have.
Or for that matter Romney's money.Romney could run till 2010 if he wanted to.
"out there"? He may be THE most normal of the whole field Dem or Rep

Fair point, but I feel his "creationism" is a hindrance and the fact that he says he supports the Bible over the Constitution in office. And - I am a Christian too, but the Bible is all of life, the Constitution is the responsibility of the public officers we elect. If he hadn't gone off the deep end with those comments, I might have thought him more "normal," but I fear he's only thinking for evangelists, not the entire country.

i heard the same comments you did.The problem with his statement is that the media that covered this speech took the statement out of context.I understood perfectly well what the Gov was saying and it's not that he's disregarding the Constitution.
Here's the points he was actually making
    1. you cannot change the Bible
    2. It would be easier to change the Constitution THAN the Bible
    3. the ONLY way the Constitution can be changed is by amendment;not the President. And for all we know Gov Huckabee may have been reffering to something SPECIFIC here. You can't tell from the snippet. That may be why the media ran it.

OK I found out what all the hub bub was about; What HUCKABEE is reffering to is abortion and gay marriage. It's well known he opposes both.
So i don't think his statement was TOO out of whack. It's in line with his views.

Actually he really only won 4 states as the West Virginia win was thrown to him by John McCain. They were both loosing to Mitt Romney, so John McCain released his delegates to Huckabee, so the delegates from WV could go to Huckabee instead. If McCain thought for one moment that Huckabee could beat him, he would not have made this move. It is unfortunate that the rules are such, but hence the saying "Politics are Dirty".
Maybe a deal was cut between McCain and Huckabee for Huckabee to be The Vice President.
