Former Secretary of State Condolezza Rice sharply criticized President Obama's foreign policy in her speech at the RNC. I expected this, since that's all they have been doing there thus far; bashing the President and offering no policy of there own. Rice does not have the right to criticize this administration's foreign policy, it's been a vast improvement since it was under her and the last administration's watch. Rice ignored the summer 2001 report that warned of an imminent attack on the US by Bin Laden, as did Bush. Rice lied about the reasons to go to war with Iraq. Rice is a wanted war criminal with warrants out for her(and others in the Bush admin. including Bush himself). A war tribunal found Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield and others guilty of war crimes back in May in Malaysia. So does this woman have the right to make the accusations she has? NO. Arrest her.

She has the right to criticize anybody she damn well pleases, aeronaut83, and you know it. As an American citizen. You don't have to listen to her, you don't have to agree with her, but she is entitled to her own opinion. And I'd say her opinion would hold a little more water than, say, my own opinion, seeing as how she was in the midst of all that stuff in a very prestigious, official capacity.

As for the war tribunal in Malaysia, my father had a price on his head for years, issued by none other than the (dis)honorable Kim Il Sung. Gee, should I have turned the old man in and collected the reward? Get real.

As for the current status of our foreign policy, there are many differing opinions on that one as well. But each of us is entitled to have an opinion. Like it or not. Please do not fall into the trap of attempting to silence people. That's a dangerous precedent, indeed.

Would you be asking this question if she had nothing but praise for our current occupant of the White House's foreign policy?

Your disagreement over the job she did or was allowed to do doesn't really enter into it. She is a US citizen exercising her freedom of speech and is probably one the few people who truly understands the mechanics of it.

But I'm not sure what that criticism would be - she, Obama and Bush practically agree of foreign policy when it comes to drone attacks, starting foreign wars to contain threats, putting terrorists in Guantanamo where they belong and building a coalition based on Moderate Arab nations.

But, Obama has gottn the USA so deeply into debt for nothing at all, that we might never get out from under. Or, we might go bankrupt. I did not like either Bush president. Bill Clinton was a fairly decent president.
