Does Condi Rice have the right to criticize Pres. Obama on foreign policy?

I do not believe she would leave our embassy unprotected on 9-11 as Hilary Clinton did.

She has the right to criticize anybody she damn well pleases, aeronaut83, and you know it. As an American citizen. You don't have to listen to her, you don't have to agree with her, but she is entitled to her own opinion. And I'd say her opinion would hold a little more water than, say, my own opinion, seeing as how she was in the midst of all that stuff in a very prestigious, official capacity.

As for the war tribunal in Malaysia, my father had a price on his head for years, issued by none other than the (dis)honorable Kim Il Sung. Gee, should I have turned the old man in and collected the reward? Get real.

As for the current status of our foreign policy, there are many differing opinions on that one as well. But each of us is entitled to have an opinion. Like it or not. Please do not fall into the trap of attempting to silence people. That's a dangerous precedent, indeed.

Your disagreement over the job she did or was allowed to do doesn't really enter into it. She is a US citizen exercising her freedom of speech and is probably one the few people who truly understands the mechanics of it.

But I'm not sure what that criticism would be - she, Obama and Bush practically agree of foreign policy when it comes to drone attacks, starting foreign wars to contain threats, putting terrorists in Guantanamo where they belong and building a coalition based on Moderate Arab nations.

Every taxpayer has the right and the duty to criticize Obama on every action he does to harm the USA. That will be lots of deserved criticism.

What has he done that has harmed us? Did he sign off on the invasion of a country that did nothing to harm us? No that was Bush. Did he allow the worst terrorist attack to happen on us soil? No that was bush. Did he make policy that caused the world to hate us? No that was bush.

But, Obama has gottn the USA so deeply into debt for nothing at all, that we might never get out from under. Or, we might go bankrupt. I did not like either Bush president. Bill Clinton was a fairly decent president.
