humans are fairly aggressive towards those we don't agree with. because of this almost every religion has a history of violence. this is not necessarily the fault of the religion (or lack thereof), but human nature.

True Christians and or spiritual people don't say bad things of others, espeshaly if it's

Political. They just vote for the ones that offer solis to all especially the needy and poor in this life. Those that use the scriptures of any book of good will, are blasphemers. Useing the holy to hurt or kill others is an unforgivable act in the eyes of God.

There are tolerant Christians but that does not make Christianity tolerant ..

    Yes

Generally speaking, yes; however, there have always been groups of Christians, as well as Roman Catholics (not generally considered "Christian") who have been very intolerant. The Bible does not teach intolerance, so it doesn't really matter whether or not we think certain people are or are not tolerant, it is what God thinks that counts. People can also claim to be Christian, but have no idea what that actually means (like Obama).

No I have a natural tolerance, maybe because I am an atheist..

I doubt your spiritual condition has much to do with "tolerance". Perhaps you had great parents, or maybe you're just a generally good person (although your insulting me does not bear that theory out), but there is no such thing as "natural tolerance". Man, by his nature, is sinful. We don't have a "tolerance" gene, sorry. Atheism, like any religion, is a system of faith. You have faith that there is no God, & people with religious beliefs have faith that there is a God. It has nothing whatsoever to do with ones' ability to tolerate others.

Anyway, my questioning whether or not you were feeling sick is because you had the poor manners to state, "I mean by making them laugh at your nonsense so hard that they died laughing ?" I was only concerned with your welfare.

    because you talk nonsense
Your whole comment is a laugh..

" the bible does not teach intolerance" ?????? the bible is FULL of intolerance murder and hate
"Roman catholics are not Christians" ??? because they twist the story in a different way as the protestants and reformed twist it in to their advantage ?
"Atheism is a system of faith" ????
I guess you must see NOT collecting stamps as a hobby , NOT smoking as a habit !
Atheism is not a faith or a religion, it is the opposite..
Faith is blindly believing things without wanting proof and evidence..
That I believe there is no god does not make it a belief !
It is based on the facts that there is more evidence against the existence of (any) god and logical reasoning..
There is no evidence of god, none, nothing, nada .. only a book that preaches intolerance against non believers, homosexuals which by "christians" is translated in to intolerance for everything that does not think exactly like you
Face it the whole bible has been debunked in all possible ways as completely made up stories ...

I like meeting other people, different people, to me they have the same right to friendship and freedom to happiness than everyone else.
I have nothing against religious people either, it is their right and freedom..

But when I refuse to be placed in some religious box by Christians, they tell me I am intolerant ..

You're ignorant of all things related to God. I'm very serious about that. You're an anti-Christian, listening to, or buying into anti-theist rhetoric. You, sir, by your lies and ignorance, are the poster child for intolerance, not because anyone is placing you in "some religious box", but because of your own lies and self-induced ignorance.

You stated, "I like meeting other people, different people, to me they have the same right to friendship and freedom to happiness than everyone else. I have nothing against religious people either, it is their right and freedom."

And yet, the following comments of yours, along with many exclamation points, debunks what you have previously said & shows you to be a liar:

You can fool the Christian Coalition,(and Mormons) all of the time. But other Christians,Jews,Muslims, and many other religious institutions only some of the time! LOL It's better to be a spiritual being having a human being experience. There are many sides to a three dimensional life!"Hopefully everybody has a left, and a right brain, and try to use them equally!"

Christianity has a long history of intollerance and destruction of knowledge. It destroyed the Library of Alexandria, which was like the equivalent of the internet in ancient times. It may have caused the great fire in Rome. It slaughtered everyone in Jeruselem during the crusades and forced Jewish People, and Muslims to convert to Christianity or die during the crusades when they did not just kill everyone as they often killed everyone during the crusades. It forced Pagans, Atheists, and Nostic Christians to convert to christianity at the end of the Roman Empire. It forced Jewish People, and Muslims to convert leave, or die during the Spanish inquisition. It destroyed Maya literature instead of translating it into Spanish. It was responsible for the witch trials. It caused many other violent things that I did not mention.

The order of the service belongs to God as well as the order of the family.

The Old Testament Law that you refer to was between the Hebrews and their God in a Theocracy. They were to keep the law that was their part of the bargain. Christians are not now nor have they ever been under the law. The purpose of the law was fulfilled in Christ Jesus.

And I see that you aren't quoting from Christian scripture, in typical Atheistic fashion.

    Let's have a look:

    Colossians 4:5-6
5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

...was this a serious question? Horrible things have been done to Christians in the past but they've committed atrocities as well. Anyone who denies it doesn't know very much about history.

Oh, I'm not insinuating that that is a reflection on ALL Christians. It's not even a reflection on most Christians today. But it goes both ways. People hate on Islam, for example, when the actions of the fundamentalists are not reflective of the entire people.
I'm just saying that these things HAVE been done. So you can't say that you have a proud tradition of tolerance when there are far too many facts that prove the contrary. That's just a matter of the time. No religion was particularly tolerant at that point. And Christianity, like other religions, is not exempt from this. All nations, religions, and ethnicities have committed atrocities, whether it was over an issue of race, class, or faith.

I know, sometimes you want everyone to see things your way and you think how everything would be better if they did. Honestly, some people on this site are so fanatical about their beliefs, it's ridiculous. I thought those types were mostly gone by now and that it was the thinking of past generations but it's crazy. It seems like for every accepting or indifferent comment, there's at least 3 hateful ones. It makes me more sad than angry.

The problem with that is that morality is subjective. It might be against your morals or my morals but not against theirs. To me, as long as no one's being harmed, I won't say anything.
