I just don't want them to be Muslim! Don't trust them! Nor do I trust athiest who make it a big deal that they are, nor even Christians that wear it on their sleeves rather than in their life! That is why I don't like obama! He says he is a Christian and that marriage is only between a man and a woman to Christians, but caters to the LGBT later because he needs their votes!

Politicians is a Religion by it self, As in all religions, even here the cause is " serving the country" , but as in other religions even here the cause is kept aside & the interests of the PARTY & INDIVISUAL is considered to be prime, the country & people are secondary.....

Ones religious beliefs are ones own.. that is WHY WE ARE A COUNTRY... no religious persecution...I could care less as long as they don't try to FORCE thier religious beliefs on the populace... no matter what those beliefs are .
Take Obutthole for instance... I could care less that he is a muslim... what i detest is the FACT that he denies it and tries to say he is a christian for Political expiedience. Sadly , He would never have been elected with the name hussein AND Muslim faith ... ever... Don't get me wrong... HE SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ELECTED IN THE FIRST PLACE... BUT NOT BECAUSE HE IS A MUSLIM... BECAUSE HE IS A COMMUNIST...

I'm not really undecided. The poll needs better choices.

They don't have to be Christian but they can't be atheist. And in the last few years it would be real tough voting for a Muslim.

Yes it does. But the biggest reason is because thay hate Christians. They fight against anything Christian. If they were all about not believing there is a God. They wouldn't waste so much time bashing Christians. Never have a bad word to say about any other belief on the planet. Bashing Christians is their lot in life.
And let's not forget this is a Christian nation.

Actually, the States is supposed to be a secular nation, if I recall correctly. Not all atheists spend all their time bashing Christians. Most just do it when they find Christians are spending too much time bashing them. The reason they point out the flaws in your religion and not others (and some do point out the problems in others) is they are most often treated badly for their beliefs by Christians. They run into Christians that insult them for their non-belief more than any other religion. You, for example, say they don't have morals-- that's a worse insult to them than I've ever seen an atheist give to a Christian.

Aren't you being naive? All our Presidents have been Christian. If a person is Christian they are Christian first. Its a total commitment. They can't just set it aside.

A candidate should be disqualified if they so much as mention their religion. It has no place in politics.
