Do you wear Skechers "Shape-Ups" or one of the many other brand knock-offs? If so, you probably won't be happy to hear that Skechers is now being sued for fraud and dangers of injuries wearing such shoes. See report I've provided below.

They are difficult to walk in when using stairs but they are still fairly comfortable. I have read some of the articles on them and now think its best my flat feet find new shoes.

I bought a pair because someone told me they were good for your legs..I wore them a couple of times and they hurt my legs so bad I refused to wear them anymore. So they are in my closet..still looking brand new. No way will I wear them again!

my daughter amy wears them to work, she got me a pair. every time i wore them i was fine until i took them off, then i stumble, and the pain in the calves start. my younger daughter admired them and despite my telling her my probs, she wanted them, she got 'em. wore them 2 days.......they are trashed. i sure did not want them back,,,,sad i only wore them a few times myself.

Show her the link to the lawsuit info. Maybe she can request that her name be added as a co-plaintiff in that class action.

The idea is to create a rocking motion as you land on the rounded off heel. I first saw that design on a Korean shoe manufacturer's ad. Then Skechers started marketing them. Many other shoe companies sell similarly-styled shoe knock-offs.

Well that is an odd looking shoe. It looks a bit like a platform sneaker.

The design forces the rocking motion from heel to toe.

My ex-wife fell for them. I tried warning her, but she wouldn't listen. And she swears her foot and leg soreness isn't being caused by her Shape-Ups.

I was first tipped off about the potential injuries Skechers Shape-Ups can cause by a shoe store owner who explained to me why he refused to carry them.

Since then I've seen many other shoe brands with their own version of the Shape-Ups, same design, but with a different name.

They look like they might hurt my feet and legs. Maybe is you only wore them an hr a day but all day. I think they would hurt you.
