Actually, we never left off. Did you already forget the bailout under Bush. Obama didn't change squat.

That said, we've never left them. Mr. 11th cousin to GWB has not changed a damn thing for the better, he's let this Nation fall flat on its face. 'FORWARD' indeed, America: straight into MARXISM!

Bush had no economic policy. He didn't have a policy of coming to work.

Much better than Obama. First did you know the economic melt down had little to do with Bush--it started way before. Second do you know that Bush tried to reform Fannie and Freddie many times which was the model for the mortgage crisis?

Sooo, it's your opinion that oil wars, mass hiring of useless gov, flacks screaming security, 5 tax cuts for the rich, 100,000 Blackwater mercenaries @ $400,000 yr, countless Halliburton contracts, 30,000 hires from the Pat Robertson diploma mill, are free, all free? It's Clinton's fault. Clinton who left the US in a surplus that bush blew thru is just a few months. That must be it; fannie's fault.

What oil wars? Bush and the US received very little oil from Iraq or Afghan! Obama is using Blackwater just as much if not more than Bush. Hey I am all for raising the taxes of the rich but it won't do any good unless you first get rid of all the loopholes and if you get rid of the loopholes it will already raise more revenue. I also must say if our government had a revenue problem go ahead and tax em. The real government problem is over spending and you don't fix a junkies problem by giving them more of the same!
The Clinton Admin ended with a surplus because he followed the Republican majority in congress! Economist know that Fannie and Freddie were the model that Clinton pushed to the banks to deregulate and allow the least credit worthy people to get loans which caused the balloon in real estate and the eventual bust.

NO WAY! We're still not out of the woods yet from that fiasco. Gosh darn it, I don't want a full-blown depression & that's exactly what we'd end up with.

Who is suggesting that we should do such? Certainly we need to get away from the disastrous policies (if you can call them policies) of Obama & Co.

Greg Mankiw seems like a stand-up guy and is less insufferable than most of the right wing. Certainly not my favorite economist but he doesn't disavow the economics that don't agree with his party. There are far less qualified people Romney could have choose(eg. Rob Portman, Larry Summers or an "Austrian" economist.)

Why would anyone want to return to stupidity? Obama is far from perfect but no way I would vote for a Bush continuation.

Can't you people come up with anything but "Anyone but Obama"? I mean come on really is that a political philosophy?
