Don't care what you call it, but it's the first true step, in over 40 years, toward having ALL Americans covered. We deserve it! They can find billions to waste on wars but not have all Americans covered with medical care??? If you think the insurance companies have the right to deny you because of previous medical conditions, then any type of Federal programs for health care will not make you happy.

Get real, pass the legislation and then fix any problems. Do nothing and we will never give the American people what they deserve.

I've been getting an average of 3-4% yearly increase in my employee's health insurance for the past 4 years. I was just informed there will be a 12-1/2 % increase because of the expected new national health plan starting in August which is the date our insurance renews. My employees will have an approx. extra $20.00 a week taken out of their net paycheck, don't think Obama will get their votes this time around.

Interesting perspective. no co pay, no cost, everything you require, but the country will send you into an area you are likely to be shot. Long term healthcare is not your priority.

Substandard care, appointments scheduled no sooner than a month out, doctors who don't care and aren't bothered enough to tell you they care, ER wait times are longer, services are substandard, equipment is less than desirable compared to private facilities, and we all hate our jobs because we're underpaid and restricted.

People who use Obamacare instead of it's true name have an agenda. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is the actual term, and if people use a pejorative, it is obvious they are biased.

People who call Obamacare a penalty instead of what it really is "a tax" have a agenda.

Tax or penalty what's the difference. I get a tax penalty for not owning a house. I've gotten other that were more irritating. The bottom line is if you can afford it and don't get heath insurance you are going to have to pay money. Personally I'd call that a fine.

There are going to be some unfair results because of this but what is fair about life.

I agree Obama is wrong about keeping your own insurance in a lot of cases. But I really think that in most of those cases they'd loose it without Obamacare anyhow. Health Insurance as a benefit from business is just getting to expensive. I figure the insurance companies used it as an excuse last year to raise prices a little more then they would have otherwise, but what else is new. They've had an excuse to raise prices every year for the last 50 years.

To be honest I cant afford heath care either way...I dont know how any of this will help me anyway...so it seems to me all its gonna do is make life worse...i cant afford any more taxes.

It is a shame doctors will not be able to afford to see us . They are losing money and much needed time and gaining thousands of new patients . Does not really work. We will all pay more , but get much less.

I already pay for my own insurance and insure my husband as well. Now, through some fiscal magic they want me to pay for everyone elses insurance. I pay for medicare too through my taxes and the government insists that they can't find enough money to keep that little organization solvent. Now they want to add more give aways and charge the few of us who still have jobs for it. These are the same nitwits who can't run a postal service. How much blind faith can they really expect us to have?

We don't need insurance!!!!! We phucking need healthcare!!!!!! This is stupid and now the IRS gets to come get you if you are NOT good little boys and girls!!!! Are kidding me!!!

It's time for We The People to take matters into our own hands starting with a nationwide tax revolt, stop paying all bank loans and implement a national plea for our military to come home and rescue their country and put up a fence around DC and call it the National Penitentiary. Then put all of them (politicians and judges) and their bankers on trial and punish them for treason. And a note to the media ... we have special plans for you!

I have to pay anyway you look at it but I don't like to be made to pay just like I hate being made to pay for Auto insurance even if Some of you consider it a privilege when it has become a necessity in today world .

I chose not to join in this farce.

The way the National Health Care Act is structured will not be workable. It is going to have to be overhauled or repealed and replaced with something that makes more sense. To many Americans are going to look upon this program as another free bee and it will end up collapsing under its own weight.
