Do you think today’s United Nations vote will help or hinder the Palestinian push towards statehood?

I would wish it will hinder.
Israeli Arabs (since there is no such thing as Palestines), should be only pushed to make resolutions and reach agreements which are equally painful to both sides. that is the only way for something real to be achieved.

They will determine their own Destiny, However their hatred for Israel and the U.S.A. will ensure, they will launch more Rockets into Israel, Because they want Israel Killed off.then they would start on the U.S.A. Israel should promise to not leave a building standing the next time Rockets are fired into Israel, and do it when it happens. Screw the U.N.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert tells Raz that he does not oppose the change in Palestinians' U.N. status.



"I didn't see any reason to oppose it. Look, the fundamental interest — long-range strategic interest — of the state of Israel is that we will have the international bodies and primarily the United Nations recognize the two-state solution," he says, "so that there will never be any doubt as to the right of Israel to have its own Jewish independent state."



The Palestinian resolution actually emphasizes the two-state solution, Olmert says.



"Of course, it requires negotiation afterward. But I didn't see that this particular proposition that was adopted by the U.N. is in contradiction to the basic interests of the state of Israel," he says. "Why should we isolate ourselves from the entire international community and have a vote in the United Nations where 139 nations vote against us? What was so smart in this? I don't understand."

I would suggest that you do as I am about to do. Call your Senators, and congress person and ask them what service the US being involved with the UN serves. No a friend suggested this to me, instead of sending countless emails and phone calls demanding we not be part of some UN mandate coming down the road, and demanding they do something about it, which they never do, ask them why are we even in the UN. Friend says they have no answer when directly queried on the usefulness of the UN.

I just hope they will never have statehood. The Palestinians are radical terrorists hated by Jew and Arab! Statehood would be a mistake for such a people! No one wants them, certainly no one wants to be neighbors with them!

Nothing has illustrated the definition of insanity more than the cycle of propping up the Palestinian Authority under the the assumption that they are moderates, in the hopes of achieving peace. Yesterday’s vote by the UN to recognize a Palestinian country on parts of Israel’s sovereign territory should be the final straw to end this craziness that has consumed our foreign policy for 20 years.

Over the years, we have given the PLO roughly $500 million annually and up to $1 billion on occasion (FY 2009). Additionally, we contributed $267 million in FY 2009 to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the organization that harbors Palestinian terrorists under the guise of humanitarian aid. We are the largest bilateral donor to UNRWA. If the Obama administration officials were left to their own devices, they would authorize hundreds of millions more in aid to the Palestinians.

Just like the American country and the American people are inventions.
