Well I just talked recently to a lady in Florida and she told me the hispanic crime is off the charts and very violent - the citidzens are very frightened haven't heard the media reporting this one though!...they are grabbing women in grocery store parking lots and shoving them in their trunk and doing God only knows what with them....this is part of their gangs initiation... What annoys me is he really ignored the young unemployed US Citizens. Well, actually, if we believe the polls, they are turning against him because of the lack of jobs and the continued growth of the national debt that they, their children, grandchildren, etc. will be responsible for. So, with Holder suing States over voter purging and voting requirements, maybe the President and his handlers felt they were enabling a poll of young (illegal) voters.

It is the right thing to do! How many of us were born here because our parents came to this country.....not always greeted with open arms....My father joined the army in WWi, became a citizen. My mother also became a citizen. Their road was a difficult one but one they embraced and were as staunch Americans as anyone could be. The America we know was built by immigrants and filled roles across the board from grunt labor to the highest offices in the land. The President is wise in opening an avenue for young people who know no other country than this one as their country. We have invested so much in their education.....why waste that potential talent which we can benefit from? Our history is immigration.....are we suddenly elitists with proprietary nonsense? These young people will have to earn their way through the system....it is not a gift!

You are correct about our history being one on immigration, but our history is one of LEGAL immigration. It is an insult to all who made the effort your parents did to not enforce our immigration rules. While I feel saddened for the children, when they are in their teens, they could have chosen to get their status legalized, but didn't. And how do we justify allowing illegal immigrants to work in the USA when millions of young Americans remain unemployed? This is not the time for this and it is being done by circumventing both houses of Congress. Obama just Dissed them all once again. This is nothing more than a political mover and I would be very careful if I were an illegal. Who is to say that after the election and when this expires in two years the list created will not be used to deport all.

We did however come here illegally and stole this land from the Natives. Everyone deserves equal opportunity, who knows they may become citizens in the future and do something great for this great country.
