I doubt Mitt Romney will be the next U.S. President. Romney has too much past baggage. He has been deceitful throughout his past, including deliberately getting 4 deferments to dodge Vietnam Draft. No such man should have the right to order others to war.

    LOL!

yet Obama has sealed every record of his past exploits!

i'd say your hypocrisy is showing.

And I'm sure you know what are sealed in Presidential records.? You can make such uneducated comments on most sites. Can you specifically name what records President Obama has sealed of past exploits.? Never have you put anything factually worth reading. Did you shoot a raccoon to get that hat.?

i'd love to see his passport from the early 1980s when he purportedly went to Pakistan. we can't even be sure of that...

i'd love to see his GPA at Occidental. i'd like to see his application TO Occidental.

    let's just start there.

congratulations on your principle. unfortunately, a third party/write in vote, or 'stay at home' is a vote FOR Obama, since the incumbent starts out with a small advantage.

under a scenario where those write in votes or stay at homes add up, it makes it impossible for a challenger to win. ANY challenger.

Gee with only two non-candidates running there is not much choice like Jim Hightower said in the title of his book "If the Gods Wanted Us to Vote They Would Have Given Us Candidates", by Jim Hightower: I have not read this book, however, the title says what a lot of the voters who do not vote for President and some of the other offices tell me.

Obama deceptively is not much different. He is not as transparent but the left would not know either way. What is scary is that Romney seems obvious yet people can't see it. Obama really does not need to hide anything because the people of this country can not see what is right in front of their faces no matter the party or it's candidates running.

Yes, don't think because Obama may have failed allot this last term that this will be a shoe in.

I'm going to throw this out there.

Obama out right let us down, us meaning democrats and Republicans alike, american people in general.

He promised things, major things, he did not deliver on, and shown with the exception of Hillary Clinton to have an incompetent cabinet at best.

So now that he's failed to deliver on these things involving the economy and the fact that china's practically leering over us like a vulture, Obama is going to start promising rights to people and pull the

"Well the other side won't let you marry the same sex but I WILL!"

"The other side won't say this is okay, but I DO! I got your corner."

But he promised that last time in different words and didn't, and things are already going in play.
Kansas has passed a bill allowing gay/lesbian discrimination which quite literally gives a person right to fire someone or kick them out of their hotel or motel if they are gay or lesbian.

I'm a Christian, AND a Republican, and before you ask no I did not vote NO on Prop 8 I voted yes. Hate me as you will for that but that bill I just mentioned is down right STUPID, on so many levels. Whats more the amplification of that it was a "religious freedom" move is anot...

Whats more the amplification of that it was a "religious freedom" move is another part of this charade.

I would wager this was done so that come Election time Obama can be the magnanimous one wanting to "end this injustice."

Basically the timing of this, and his coming out that he supports same sex marriage is not cause its his conviction its because its the perfect time for him to say "If you don't vote for me, you hate gays too." Which is a slippery slope on so many levels but it plays in politics.

Don't be fooled he's not BEHIND anyone except the 8 ball, and he wants to put you there instead.

I watched those debates and I would say that Obama and Hillary both did a bang up job in the debates. It took me a while to settle on Obama. I wish I could have voted for them both. Hillary has done a great job as Sec. of State and I hope she runs in 2016.
McCain was never in the race after he chose Palin. Aside from that, he was just too old. His time had come and gone. I will say that McCain is an honorable man and when a woman in one of his audiences said Obama was not an American, McCain called her on it and squelched that rumor right there. Too bad today's Republicans don't repudiate the lies that are out there to day about Obama. If that's the only way they can win, they shouldn't even be running.

Excellent points, Pat. But I settled on Hillary long before the 2004 Obama speech that catapulted Obama into the Democratic nomination and the White House. But frankly, the real race in 2008 was between Hillary and Obama. It was clear early on, even before Palin, that the winner of that contest would be the next POTUS.

The coalition of Blacks, Hispanics, and assorted White liberals will help Obama win the popular votes. But Romney could prevail by edging out wins in the crucial battleground states.

Are Whites as motivated to vote in 2012 as were minorities motivated in 2008? Even with the solid Black, Hispanic, and White liberal coalition, Obama needs at least 40% of the over all White votes. He won 43% of the White votes in 2008?
