Yes, they are skewed with more Democrats than Republicans and fewer Independents
than there is are in the population........ Many of them use the 2008 voting turn-out
as a guide for numbers of Ds&Rs; the poll, and we all know 2008 is nothing like this
    election.

I'm sure some are, but by and large I believe most pollsters try for a good cross section of the population.

Of course you guys have to BELIEVE they are (with absolutely no proof), because they show that your delusions are... well... delusional.

The only poll that counts is the one in November.

And if don’t skew them in the proper direction and you are President you can do this:

Gallup Sued by DOJ Over Unfavorable Poll Numbers for Obama

Senior Obama Campaign adviser David Axelrod reportedly contacted The Gallup Organization to discuss the company’s research methodology after their poll’s findings were unfavorable to the President. After declining to adjust their methodology, Gallup was named in an unrelated lawsuit by the DOJ.

Axelrod took to Twitter to direct people to an article by the National Journal’s Ron Brownstein suggesting a flaw in Gallup’s methodology. Brownstein compared Gallup’s demographic sampling predictions to previous election exit polls as well as contemporaneous research released by Pew, CNN/ORC and ABC/WaPo.

The heart of the Obama camp complaint lies with varying predictive models for 2012 turnout. Gallup had predicted a lower minority turnout, effecting Obama’s margin against Romney.

The proof that the polls are correct are easy to see. RealClearPolitics lists all the polls, and they take the averages of all those polls, and those averages have been very accurate in the last two Presidential elections. In the 2008 election, the RCP averages was 0.3% off from the final results of the election.
    http://www.realclearpolitics....

The RCP averages in the 2004 election was 0.9% off from the final results of the election.
    http://www.realclearpolitics....

The data is right there, and those that don't believe the data are suffering from a serious case of DENIAL.

They will never believe the polls are accurate because they CANNOT believe their opinions might be wrong.

Yea, if the polls showed Romney leading by 5 or 6 points they would be all over them posting every update.

Sure would. And they would mock any liberals who suggested that the polls were fixed. They'd be right to do so. Anyone who thinks every polling organization is biased has more than just a few screws loose.

I am shocked at the latest Quinnipiac University polls released today, which are usually fairly accurate. They show President Obama with a 10% lead in Ohio, and a 9% lead in Florida. I used to think this election was going to be close within 4 or 5 points, but now I believe that the President will win reelection with a greater than 5% margin. The RCP electoral map shows President Obama with 265 to Romney's 191, as Ohio has just been put into the "leans Democratic" column.

Hmm... I dunno about that one. Seems like an outlier to me, but we'll see when the next set of polls comes out for the rest of the pack.

There is no doubt about it, to me. Most polling companies are left leaning, regardless of what they might claim. However, heard earlier today, on the TV that rural voters almost evenly split between Republican and Democrat in 2008, but that now Romney has a 14 point lead among the rural voters. http://www2.ohio-votes.com/ne...

I think there can be. Remember when Nancy Pelosi said we would have to pass the bill before we can read it? Yes, the Republicans understood the problem with that. The left twirled their hair, went back to watching Oprah and continued to complain about the racist, selfish Republicans. Not much has changed in that regard.
