Do you think the officer from Arizona who posted a photo of Obama on facebook with bullet holes in his face, should he be fired?

But he should be given sensitivity training and his record of arrests should be carefully reviewed and if there is any indication of discrimination, then he should be fired.

Haven't them gun-totin idiots learned anything from the shooting that nearly killed Gabby Giffords & killed others that horrific day last January?

I hope the Secret Service pay that lunatic a visit.

Apparently not....sigh. In fact, I'm sure they believe MORE guns would be better. Perhaps the residents of AZ are in their own arms race.

It sounds like they're stuck in the "Wild West" mentality. Personally speaking, I have a serious problem with a showdown at the OK Corral. It's common knowledge that guns scare the bejeezus out of me.

RWNJ's toting guns scare the daylights out of me also. I've seen too many of them talking about "taking us out" on SH.

I hadn't heard about this. If he's a military officer, he'll be in BIG trouble and should be. If he's a peace officer, he should be hauled on the carpet for sure and removed from his position. NOT amusing.

That is a sign of deep disrespect to the office of the President, This officer is supposed to be a representative of the law. The law does not encourage even the semblance of assassination of the President, whoever it happens to be. It is very sad when people who are employed to serve and protect are participating in this juvenile type of behavior.

How many government employees happen to have Facebook pages? It isn't as though they had to break into anything to find this crap.
  • scblues... Alvin 2012/03/02 20:35:06

This officer had only posted this picture to be viewable by his friends on Facebook. So by that assumption, maybe one of his "friends" certainly could have lifted it and reported him. But the speed at which this all went down makes it sound more like direct federal government data mining and response, which concerns me.

Of course he knows better, and I certainly don't condone his behavior. But it doesn't scare me. The federal government having carte blanche to scan through anyone's facebook account for any reason DOES scare me, though.
