It is unbelievable how many got into office without many of us realizing it. In 2010 I pray a great majority of them will be gone!

    Mixture of all

Most politicians are corrupt. There are no true ANYTHINGs anymore. Its the very nature of politics, making deals with the devil and sometimes for the devil or in rare cases, BEING the devil or working directly for him.. I am sure many get into politics with the intention of doing good or even helping to clean out the corruption, but politics by it very nature is not able to stand up for right against wrong. We have 300 million people, more or less in this nation and I doubt that even the very best of them are right all the time. So now if you take out the 10% who are so honest they would never consider going into politics, or hanging out with politicians, that still leaves 90% who break the rules once in a while. Subtract the 30 % underage and not able to run. That leaves about 60%. Of those, subtract another 50% who ADMIT they aren't totally honest ALL the time. The ones who forget to put on their seatbelt or that talk on a cell phone while driving (once in a while), or go a few miles over the speed limit every day. The ones that may try to cut in front of you at the last minute from the other lane or speed up well before the intersection when caution light comes on. Even the ones who take extra condiments from the restaurant to take home with them. Many of us fit in that gr...

The ones that may try to cut in front of you at the last minute from the other lane or speed up well before the intersection when caution light comes on. Even the ones who take extra condiments from the restaurant to take home with them. Many of us fit in that group.
That leaves the ones who seldom admit mistakes unless it makes them look better, or are receiving a direct benefit. The ones who are good actors right through til the end. The poker players you can't read. The ones who'll do anything to win. This is the group politicians seem to come from. If you subtract the 1-2% who are already in prison, the 1% who are incapacitated physically or mentally. That leaves somewhere between 5% to 8% to become politicians. The same 5% to 8% that keep running and the same group that go in and out of office. The same group that includes lobbyists for all the big corporations, the same group that run all our States and Cities.
And yet some folks are surprised when another politician is arrested almost every day for corruption, or caught in some infidelity, or sexual perversion in a public restrooom. This is what they do. They try to fool some of the people most of the time.
I think some say they are Democrats because the think it will get them elected by the corrupt unions. Some say they're Republicans for the fanatical religious right vote. Some are Independents because the want to be able to represent the people better even though getting elected may be harder for them.
I also believe a few of the ones that get elected on either side are REALLY trying to do better for the people and the country, so I think the labels of Democrat or Republican can be misleading and if we vote for someone it should ALWAYS be for the PERSON and not the Party. I think the two party system makes it harder to elect good PEOPLE because you think you're voting for certain principle with a certain party and that in some cases is exactly the opposite.
We need to study the PERSON running and their accomplihments or drawbacks rather than by party. I don't think there are any TRUE Republicans, Democrats or even Socialists. I think individuals are a mixture of these things and we should know who we are voting for as an individual, not as a party member.

When a Repubcan messes up I am one of the first to speak out about it. The 4 that voted for the last pork spending bill need to be held accountable for it with the voters that elected them. I also look, as I have this year, which party is the most damaging to the Country and right now it is the Demoratic party, which is why I will campaign to have as many as we can voted out of office. I believe there are some conservative Republicans in office now and there are others that are emerging to run this year. They may become corrupt, like others before them, which is why we must not sit back on our haunches again, but stay on them and make sure they are accountable.

Our Congressmen are Democrats..which has never been a benefit for Washington State. They are true Dems. Now, you take our Senators..that is a much different story. They are Republicans...and are easily arm turned into supporting Obama's agenda. I am working to get both replaced. :-)

Good for you! Whether they are Democrats or Republicans are no longer a factor. It is their actions that have to be accounted for! There are people from both sides that are supporting Obama and must be replaced! It is the only way we can disarm Obama right now.

I think they are posing as our representatives. They don't listen to us, they do as they please. No matter what party they claim to be part of what they really care about is getting more money and getting re elected.

That is why we must stay active and vote them out, regardless of the party. They did not hesitate to take more of our money for their raises this year and for WHAT???

The ones in MY state are NOT true Democrats (and they ALL claim to be), because they obviously are on the take from big business and the insurance industry just like the Republicans. They no longer listen to the working man (or woman). Both parties have lost their way to $$$$$$! People mean little to them any more. One party is radical and rediculous, the other is weak and stupid. Both need to return to their roots and start over.

It does seem more and more that we have been completely sold out by both sides. It is time to clean house and start over and DEMAND they work for US! We can no longer sit back and let them go about business as usual because they will sell us to the highest bidder.

The Pacific Ocean gets its deep blue color from WA State run off!

Where else in the country would lawmakers propose a "Rain Water" permit to capture rain for watering plants and lawns to conserve water? They claim it is a natural resource and we should pay for it.

He is not representing his people, he is trying to maintain his own self interest. One thing this demand from the people to do something is doing, is bringng out the true colors of many of these corrupt people. WE NEED TO GET THEM OUT OF THERE!

Does anyone know a true Republican anymore? There are some better than others but none would have been recognized as a Republican even 20 years ago. At least as far as I know.

I have heard some Republican Governors speak that seem to be true Republicans, but in DC I cannot think of any. In fact there are some under the Republican regime, that are active socialist, such as Snowe from Maine.
