Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be repealed in your lifetime?

The Bill of Rights, being declaratory and restrictive clauses, were added to prevent misconstruction or abuse of the powers of the Constitution, and as such can not be deleted, and that includes the Second Amendment..

Any amendment can be repealed.

Concerning the Bill of Rights, when the Amendments are broken-down into the declaratory and restrictive clause format, they show that every Amendment, without exception, places enumerated restraints on the powers of the federal government to prevent that government from misconstruing or abusing its powers concerning the rights of the people and the powers reserved to the States.

None of the Amendments define or limit the rights of the people or empower the federal government to determine the extent of the people’s rights under the Amendments. Thus, the only power the federal judiciary can have relative to the Bill of Rights is the power to uphold the constitutional restraints imposed on the powers of the federal government by the Amendments. Anything beyond that is a blatant usurpation of power.

Granted, but even he can not issue an executive order that can remove all of our freedoms, although he is giving it a try.

I can foresee a time in the future that this could happen but that is a distant future.

The truth is that to rescind the 2nd ammendment will in reality mean the start of a second civil war. I know for a fact that there are millions of people who have never broken a law in their lives that will not accept it.

I hope that people on all sides of the issue carefully consider if it would be worth the price.

I believe it will be. As the government takes more and more control they will also have to control the weapons. Too many weapons to try and get but all they have to do it to stop the manufacturing of ammo. Soros-owned companies have recently bought up the lion's share of ammo manufacturers, what does that tell you?

Many of us can manufacture our own, if necessary.

But states like Arizona, Texas, Idaho, Alaska, etc. will stand up against it and declare the 2nd Amendment is valid in their state.

Nope Americas gun culture is too strong and no form of disarmament has lasted more than a hundred years.

Since I'm older than dirt, it most likely will not be repealed in my lifetime, but you never know. The anti gun lobby is very strong.
