I agree with mwg. The Liberal Progressive agenda is to dominate Americans, control them with entitlements and maintain a base of power. Oh, and don't forget the money either.

Actually, it doesn't matter what Romneycare is all about. If Liberals want to hang their argument on Romney doing the unthinkable (the basis for the lame Obamatax) that's fine. Obviously, you didn't hear his response to this argument. He did what the people of Massachusetts wanted, but the American people have spoken and he will follow the will of the people. His press secretary muddied the water with a comment that Romney agreed with Obama. What Romney said was the Supreme Court has labled the law a tax and he will act accordinly. A simple majority sounds pretty good to me right now too.

n January, 2009, Dr. Emanuel published a paper in the Lancet [Persad, Govind, Alan Wertheimer, and Ezekiel J. Emanuel. "Principles for allocation of scarce medical interventions." The Lancet 373 (Jan 31,2009): 423-31]. In it he argues for the use of a "Complete Lives Systems" method of allocating care. From the abstract:

We recommend an alternative system--the complete lives system--which prioritises younger people who have not yet live a complete life and also incorporates prognosis, save the most lives, lottery, and instrumental value principles.

In defending this approach against charges of ageism, Dr. Emanuel claims that because everyone was young once, prioritizing the young over the old is not discrimination:

Unlike allocation by sex or race, allocation by age is not invidious discrimination; every person lives through different states rather than being a single age. Even if 25-year-olds receive priority over 65-year-olds, everyone who is 65 years now was previously 25 years.

This system also treats human beings as commodities, evaluating their lives as "investments":

Consideration of the importance of complete lives also supports modifying the youngest-first principle by prioritising adolescents and young adults over infants. Adolescents have received substantial education and parental care, investments that will be wasted without a complete life. Infants by contrast, have not yet received these investments. Similarly, adolescence brings with it a developed personality capable of forming and valuing long-term plans whose fulfillment requires a complete life.

Lifesite News reports that in a Hastings Center Report, 1996, Emanuel also spoke of denying care to the disabled:

In a separate 1996 article for the Hastings Center Report, Emanuel spoke about rationing care away from those "who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens" to the non-disabled, adding "An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia."
This from the advisor to 0 on health care. But you can claim it is not happening.

Control using the age old carrot and stick approach.

The carrot is the PERCEPTION of getting 'free'(sic) healthcare as a reward for SUBMITTING the will of the proletariat; the stick is the penalty(tax) for refusing to comply with 'what is best for you'.

its about forcing Americans to be controlled. To give the Government access to everything. Its about taking away the liberty to use natural remedies and herbs that are proven effective to replace them with drugs that have no reliable medicinal use just submit the symptom you are experiencing from the disease. If my fears are right, and you can look it up for yourself the rfid mandate. Not to mention the increase in taxes that will finally destroy the remainder of the middle class, not to mention the constant surveillance of the medically implanted devices, and there is a whole host of things buried in it. Like Nancy said you have to pass it to see whats in it
