The boos began when the Republican candidate promised during his speech to “eliminate every nonessential, expensive program I can find - that includes Obamacare.”

It is a well established fact that the right is more than a little racist. Their attacks on Obama, no matter how they deny it, often reference monkeys, sambo imagry and racist comments. Perhaps they want to energize their uneducated white male base and attack minorities. They probably feel like they don't need their vote anyway.
